    There’s something about creeping about woods looking for birds that really gets me going Lol even when I’m pigeon shooting with decoys and hide and here a cock bird calling I’m out after it for the pot lol , there’s a shoot next to one the farms I have permission on and a lot of birds end up in his wood but I still have to have a wander and take acouple for the pot at night even tho They will give the shot birds away at end day ,,,

    Most people I no or herd of who fly lanners uses them for displays or lure birds , I no a lad who flys an aplomado female and while she’s a nice gutsy bird she’s more of a small bird falcon , if you going for gulls crows ,rooks etc I’d go for gyr x saker or Pere x saker ,or gyr pere saker ,,moorman off here flys one and it’s a killing machine , one his friends breeds them and for a very good price ,

    If I was a farmer and I had nuggets driving round my land smashing gates ripping fence down ripping ground up etc etc , Id have every single hare shot on my land so it wasn’t worth them coming on , problem is once they have one incident where stuff like fences and gates getting rammed they tar everyone with same brush
