Seen plenty of types of dogs work well to ferrets but one sticks out , was a small lurcher type crossed with a Staffordshire bull terrier , not a game one , or an athletic one , more l8ke a pet one , speed wise wasn’t the fastes but it’s désire to catch and kill made it a demon , would take ducks of side bond hare in seat rabbits bolting and in rough , but it was simply mugging ,

So à mates been round today and while here he seen the fenn mk6 hanging on fence as I’d given them quick spray paint over ( to help them be less visible to prying eyes ) after having a look he asked me if they were copies as they only had 6 coil springs and fens should have 7 and they were a little flimsy .. ?? I dout they are copies as I had them from fourteen acre so is he wrong ?

Good luck with the pups mate and if your using the terriers for bushing then if the sire hasn’t done earth work it will be better for you , failed earth dogs or pups off earth dogs will end up dropping in on rabbits and will just end up ruining the day , good luck with the one you keep and hope they all find decent homes ,

Mint idea that , i love hunting squirrels with a 410 shotgun and a dog but now I just use a air gun and dog and also trap them, a lot of people call them tree rats and don’t bother with them but I think there one the most fun quarry to hunt , always danced a couple days working with them fiest dogs

Never realy liked the idea of canned hunting but I wouldn’t judge a man for doing it , after all teach to there own and each person should be able to choose what he does , however I wouldn’t do it , as it’s just not something I’d be interested in, however I’m i was in Africa and there was a man eating hyena or lion and I was offered to hunt it , ( not in a pen ) then I would in a heart beat , hunting something that’s hunting you …..dout your going get that feeling lamping a rabbit

Each to there own realy but the ones with the plastic square mesh ones look sound , and if I lived in a country with poisonous snakes etc I’d like mine of the floor too , them plastic square ones are probably better than solid concrete floor as the piss would drain strait through , fair enough the shit wouldn’t but it doesn’t on solid concrete either , seen some the rabbit hunting fours in us for little beagles and terriers some look mint , some look like rabbit hutch’s with slats so the shit falls through but they not my cup of tea , as pup or adult dog could snap a leg pretty quick , @
