  7. I nevere ment to upset anyone with what I posted and I agree with you about those who post pics on Facebook etc of deer, Fox, coney etc, I have always looked at controlling pests as pest control not sport. The ban as done nothing for the animals it was set up for, in fackt it's made things worse as you know. I should have worded post different and maybe you would see in no way was this about honest lads digging. Atb
  8. I have several kits, hobs and Jill's. Looking for good working homes for when ready to leave in few weeks, parents graft and I have kept this line for last ten years. All albinos, if interested pm me, o nearly forgot "free to good homes" atb
  9. I always enjoy your posts mate, looks like a nice bunch of stinkers. With right care, handling ferrets normally tame ok. Atb
  10. Why all the abuse, I never said who's responsible what I said was a lad lost his permission because some fool as for loose liped well I ain't the one given out abuse, but that's easy done on your key board, rant over.
  11. Right I should have said from the start the land I work my dogs on as had problems with w..... Kers taking deer. Breaking into barns etc, The farmer found two humbugs shot last month and I came across two more while walking my lurchers. I never said it was terrier men who did this, as for giving anti's Amo or doing job for them lol, the lad who had permission to shoot on this farm as now lost permission because of this, alls I was trying to get across is a few are fcuking it up by doing this kind of thing.
  12. No they was shot, and this don't look good when they leave them next to public footpath, I've been around terriers lurchers all my life and in my opinion the few that do these things f..k it up for those who keep with in the law.
  13. I found two young badgers ripped to bits couple weeks ago on one of the farms I work, this kind of thing gives us all a bad name.
  14. You can have some great days out with a whippet and a busher, how old is your whippet pal, I work a whippet based lurcher and I wouldn't be with out him.
  15. It's surprising how many people think digging to fox is illegal full stop, even some who use this forum. I was also told yesterday that lamping rabbits as been banned for last ten years. And it was the lad who is now in charge of one of the farms I work who said it to me, for years I have lamped, done ferreting ratting and took some good bags and had some great days on this land but I can see this ending now he's taking over from the old couple who owns it, I asked him if he had done much farm work, no not a day until I got with my new girl friend who's the owners granddaughter. He's a nice an
  16. Bang on morton, if folk only bred from earth dogs the bedlington would be in a better place, atb
  17. They as always been big and small bedlingtons even out of two the right size for earth work, my father always had a good small one for earth work and a bigger dog for xing to running dogs, atb
  18. I know a lad who as a Bedlington at stud mate, it's Midlands though. Dog is out of Terry oherns stuff, you won't find better and it's pure bedlington not been x to pat etc, if I was looking for a stud I would travel to use him. The lad who owns him is a gentleman and a honest field man. Pm me your number and I'll pass it on,, atb
  19. My whippets catch rate as gone up loads since getting my bushing a bitch, she's bedlington whippet x Patterdale, she will go through any cover and a good ferreting bitch and ratter, I think a Bedlington would do what you want and more.. Atb
  20. She looks nice type, I have a 8 year old whippet x and he's been a good all round worker and got me through some dark times. He is now retired apart from a bit of ferreting. He will stay with me until the end, he spends his time on the couch or pottering about the garden with tinker our ten week old bedy x greyhound. A few times folk have said pts which I could never do, he as earned the right to have a happy retirement after all he's not just a worker but my best mate. Atb
  21. I believe pups should stay indoors until old anufe to be kenneled, my twelve week old pup lives inside and I let her walk in and out kennel when I'm in garden, none of my dogs are kenneled full time anyway but they are handy when ones on heat etc, atb
  22. Cracking dog, it's good to hear some one say "only faults my dog as are mine," good to see a worker doing well at shows. Atvb .
