  1. Time and effort on your part the dogs will sort themselves out but like it's been said already you'll know if your older bitch is not happy. When i had my old dog I tried introducing a pup I ended up taking it back to the breeder with no refund (my chocie) as my dog would have killed it soon as I was out of sight but I new my dog and new the signs that he was not ok with the situation but he was funny with most dogs I should have known that it wouldn't go down well so it really comes down to how well you know your dog and the signs of putting the new one in it's place and wanting to hurt it
  2. Myxomatosis Myxomatosis is caused by the myxoma virus, a type of pox virus that only affects rabbits. It was first discovered in 1896 in Uruguay and was imported to Australia in 1951 to control its large rabbit populations - initially having the desired devastating effect. The disease was illegally introduced to France in 1952 and it appeared in Britain the following year. It quickly spread to both wild and domestic rabbit populations and within a few years had spread throughout Europe. Myxomatosis has been a threat to wild and domestic rabbits ever since. Who is at risk? All rabbi
  3. Bloody shame that is mixy shamed the rabbit population down near me there uses to be a good amount round but then few years back they started to disappear only latey I've started to see a few more about but it seems to be a cycle they come back and get good numbers then they go and so on just takes years for there number to get good and half that time to all but get wiped out again
  4. I remember when mine was like that for those 2 blissful weeks and now he's turbo charged 24/7 wired even if you move an inch
  5. Sent him text message also got poxon to consider like the sound of both got to wait to see what poxon has first though and he made a very kind offer
  6. Not lurcher but my Springer is cider and my sprocker is brock

  9. I'm in the Midlands and could hold on to a pup to be picked up to help Jacob out if needed ,...What's the breeding in the pups?
  10. Between 2012 and 2014, the respondents (Mr Mccormick and four others known collectively as the Devon Destroyers) allegedly went into the countryside at night with one or more lurcher-type dogs. Their purpose was to seek out wild animals, including deer, foxes and badgers, which they allowed their dogs to pursue, attack and kill. Inevitably, fighting between the dog(s) and the pursued animals would occur, and on occasions the dog(s) themselves suffered injury. What was the applicable law? The relevant legislation in this case was s.8 of the Animal Welfare Act 2006 (the 2006 Act). In par
  11. Have my reasons for only wanting a rabbiting dog
  12. For the right dog yes I would but as I'm only after a rabbit dog I shouldn't need to go that far really but then again if nothing comes up that I really like then yes I'd travel it might end up being a day of travel as I'm not planning on just getting the first dog that comes my way it took me 6 months to find a Springer and many visits to many breeders but if you know what you are looking for it's hard to settle for any old dog. Once I see the dog I want I'll know it dosnt have to be the best but it's got to be right for me
  13. I've got some of my old permission back that's hilly ground also hoping to get some farms just off the moorland so hilly hard running ground I used to run a racy bull x but although very good dogs at there job I found mine also others didn't have very good brakes and was a bit to game which ended up in him going lame a fair amount
  14. Well pm to poxon and see where that goes sounds a nice cross and had a few others pm me plenty about just picking the right one
  15. Yeah but it's so split some swear by his dogs and others wouldn't dream of it but I suppose it's all personal preference really. I'm after a good solid rabbit dog that will also be in the house so a farmed profit dog just didn't feel right
  16. I live out on the moors in Devon but each year more and more people are coming up in the summer instead of the beach so although I don't have the yearly jabs I am starting to consider it as the amount of dogs that come up there now. Trouble is you can do everything you can but it dosnt mean the next man will
  17. Well that's sort of what I've come to as I've read hancock once said his dogs our to valuable to be working so if like 2 good solid working parents so just putting some feelers out there and seeing what turns up
  18. Really nice pair do like a brindle. Cracking
  19. Hi lads, I thought I'd settled on what I wanted and that was going to be hancock but now after reading lots on here I'm not sure as it's such a split subject. I will be getting a lurcher in the next few months however I'm just not sure on what. It will be a house dog that will be used for rabbiting I used to have a racy bull x that was a right s**t but that's how he was and I loved him for it anyway and accepted it. So my question is is anyone or dose anyone now of any litters being planned and what they would be? I live in Devon but will travel Midlands way Wales and all between possibly more
  20. That is probably done on pampered rats Armani handbag to carry the dog £800 the dog of there choosing plus food plus vets
  21. Won't be out with the other 2 will be a house dog as well. That's how my last one was. Just not sure how 3 boys would get on my sprocker has zero balls now but my Springer can be snappy at times
  22. Ok I've settled on the type of lurcher I want collie Greyhound however I'm now stuck on the dog or bitch. I've always had dogs got 2 spaniels both boys. Never had a bitch parents dog growing up was boys is there any difference in them and working difference. Cheers
