yes , try the duffus ( half barrel) in the shallow runs- they work a treat in deep runs too, but you need to be careful that you dont pile too much soil on top, this will hinder the trigger mechanism. Also with the scissor trap make sure you dont wedge the sod you cut out in the wrong side of the trap. This again will hinder the triggering. Hope you understand. trappa

I think it will be a case of some passionate teachers will try to push their views on impressionable kids- either way, pro or anti. I personally would have been down there and found out why they were handing out literature. I did falconry talks at some schools , showing the birds and told the kids about birds of prey , hunting etc and teachers and kids were fascinated about it all, a level headed, rational approach works better than forcing views like your teacher is trying. -

cheers boys. WRF- yes, its a silencer, its a hushpower. They are towards £500 new but the lad was wanting £350 for it and its mint condition. I part exd my escort, and was very happy with what i got for that. moley, i was looking at the 20 too, but decided against as well. Will let you know what i think of the difference in sound compared to my last 410. I was going to have a good "play" this weekend but ive got a new farm that needs moling asap so it wont be till next week before i have some fun!

My experiences with ferals would suggest a .22 rimfire fine for close work and absolutely anything bigger for further away. You would be hard pushed to distinguish a house moggy from a feral at a distance, but i guess you know that.

Just a couple of quick questions, I don't want to upset anybody, but, How long does it take to dig to a fox that's being kept there by a terrier? For what length of time was a fox chased by a pack of hounds? But no that's all right, because it's our culture. I don't agree with eating dogs myself, I find the idea sickening, but what I'm getting at is the fact that some people seem to have double standards when they allow their feelings to get in the way of some perspective. Good luck. It would look better if you were to "come clean" to your fao. If you dont tell about something that happened a while ago i would think he would know anyway, surely you would look more trustworthy were you to hold your hands up and explain the past was exactly that.

Im with lurchergirl on this. Each to their own and all that , but dogs!?! ffs come on! and taking 7 mins to die. Im afraid calling it culture is bollox in my eyes. In india they would throw the wife on a burning pyre alive if her husband died first-culture? Id feed her up now. If shes only just dropped feathers then there wont be any chance of fret marks until the new ones are growing so you could carry on, but her dropping feathers basically means shes ready to moult. Like wag says, plenty of good stuff and she will benefit. One word of warning is feeding rats. The white ones that you buy do look a little like ferrets and i always avoided feeding them. I never wanted her to associate white creatures with food as i worked mine to albino ferrets.

I was just sat wondering about things that im are good at , and things i arent. Im the most confident person in the world, and the 2 things im really good at are mole catching and squirrel hawking. If there was a competition for catching moles i would enter and honestly think i would win (god im a big headed bas*ard!!) and i also class myself as a top squirrel hawker. Again, im writing a book as i think im up there with the best ( if not the best!) Im crap at loads of stuff (shooting etc) though i enjoy trying to better myself. Anyway, what about you lot, anyone else a big headed git
