  1. Cheers boys. loads of great help and info there. thanks again
  2. Maybe one of the mods should get in touch with him and find out his side of the story. If he is an anti i for one wont be comfortable with him scrutinising our posts, although im sensible enough to realise that there will be others on here just waiting for illegalities to inform upon.
  3. Im in a rush but i will be selling a box of 50 insect monitors and 50 af advance mouse boxes (green). They fit into each other. I was having a clearout and found them. If anyone is interested pm me and i will give you details. Im only putting it here as i dont have time to download the photos and stuff today.
  4. Poisoning them is banned now. There are a few courses for aluminium phosphide and they are pretty elementry. They cos t about £70 and will let you purchase the gas tablets from stores.
  5. cheers bunnyspotter. They sound great and just what im looking for. i will keep a few on me on my travels just in case i need an extra few feet or a bit more power.
  6. My mate has just give me some high velocity stingers for my .22 lr. Anyone used them before and what are they like? He gave me nearly 100 ( which was nice). Do these bullets give a power/velocity of a .22 centrefire or is it still way off? Any help or info at all will be appreciated.

    lamping help

Theres no magic behind it. Just go out and shine the lamp at an easy rabbit first time out- the bird will practically mug it! If it runs follow the rabbit with your beam and bird will follow. tips; if there is more than one of you make sure the "lamper" is at the front, if the beam gets broken from someone standing in front of light when the bird is in pursuit it will flummax (nice word) the bird. Also go on your first time when there is little or no moon as the light from a full moon will let the bird see near roosts like trees etc . You can get flashing lights for the anklets and also ma
  8. Have you had any false triggers of your trap or not?
  9. Its possible. i was hawking squirrel in a local wood a few years ago and we flushed a feckin chipmunk of all things!! Would have loved to have caught it, but it was too wily for us.
  10. I think its a great idea having longnetting courses. If it was up north a bit more (200 miles more)!! i would go on it.
  11. Im looking at getting a new 4x4 and was just wondering if i was to get an lpg motor or a motor that was potentially an lpg conversion, do you pay as much tax as a petrol and diesel as the 4x4s seem to be getting a hammering on tax ( rightly or wrongly) cheers
  12. Drowning is illegal here so its a no-no really. Broomer, can you tell me more on this method. It seems a bit of a faff on to gas it to me (im not having a go) when you could just knock it on the head. What gas do you use? cheers mate
  13. Good luck mate. Thats an awful long time to wait though.
  14. Anyone want to collect it before it gets posted?
  15. So which is the best rimmys or are they all "of similar"?? eley, remington, magtec? or others
  16. I would be looking at a more "permanent" solution. its all well scaring the cat off, or putting smelly things round the garden but it doesnt get rid of the problem. I had a cat that used to jump on my aviary roof and scare my birds sh*tless. I dont anymore cos i got rid of the problem. If i hadnt, it would mean it would still be here causing grief and i would still be scaring it off. you dont need to be cruel to sort it, but imo sort it dont scare it.
  17. The lad obviously doesnt know much about mole trapping. duffus are easiest set on a shallow run, with a light coating of soil on top.I too set duffus well deep but couldnt be arsed saying not to set it a foot deep , but not to cover it with a foot of soil as it might not spring with sufficient force to kill said mole . Thats why, for easyness i said duffus for shallow. If he sticks to duffus for shallow, scissors for deep he wont go far wrong.
  18. all my answers would be illegal. Get rid of the cat, you get rid of the problem.
  19. Yes, cheers john. Thats the one. It came flat-packed ready to make up, but i still havent made it up.If i have to post its going to cost a few bob remember as it weighs more than a fat elephant in wet clothes.
  20. Will try to sort link tomorrow. If you go to ebay, write galvanised rabbit drop trap , Its the only one that comes up. had a few questions about postage so if no-one local wants to collect it i will sort out a price tomorrow for it posted. Thanks boys.
  21. scissor for deep. duffus for shallow. fenn for intermediate.
  22. The snares your on about for catching birds of prey are called bal-chatri. You will prob need to google it or something but basically its loads of snares made out of fishing line.
