  1. Calm down, it’s called a conversation. “you’re telling me.....” is a well known expression, it is not meant to infer that you told me anything. And I apologise if you took it that way. I was attempting to say that despite what we are being told in the media, I find it odd that the Ukraine suddenly has no professional soldiers, special forces, military hardware etc. And that two days into being invaded they are reduced to groups of woman desperately cobbling together Molotov cocktails as the last line of defence ......... Same as the ‘militia’ protecting Kiev, no guns etc et
  2. On paper Ukraine has 4000 troops in their Spetsnaz group. But it also has a variety of ‘disbanded’ or ‘reservist’ units equally as good which has to come out of official active service due to doing some nasty stuff previously (ie 2014 revolution). So I just don’t think it’s quite at the pitch forks and brick throwing stage yet .....
  3. I think some of that is for media benefit. Like the Molotov cocktails, very effective against infantry in some occasions, but you’re telling me one of the worlds biggest producers of military hardware, a country that produces shit loads of fert, has big industry and an army of 250,000 men...... is already down to three pistols a machine gun and no bombs or grenades and only glass bottles with petrol and plastic in them ? Yes arming everybody is the way, everyone who fights is another body and set of eyes. But there are plenty of weapons in Ukraine and plenty who know how to use them.
  4. The one thing I will say for Putin. At least he just invaded, rather than dressing it up as being the good guy and helping Ukraine, saving them blah blah blah.
  5. I’m wondering if this might have something to do with the logistics nightmare of orders being wrong, communications poor, not enough stuff taken etc etc. Doesn’t seem very Russian.
  6. There would be a lot of far right militia groups heading that way also.
  7. This was shot four years ago. Gives you an interesting insight into some of the stuff going on there. Obviously it’s about rave culture etc but very telling. Watch it.
  8. ? Mind you within a short space of time they’d crashed the Russia state TV ? so I wouldn’t not take them seriously.
  9. It is basically the definitive book about the Russian tactics used in afghanistan, why they used them and why it failed badly. It is fascinating.
  10. If you look back over the last few years (I think I put a video up earlier) the Ukraine has an already existing, very good series of ‘militias’ as well as the regular army. I wouldn’t worry about their expertise!
  11. Something which I don’t think has been mentioned on here ? Anonymous declared war on Russia. That is probably going to hurt quite a lot, they are pretty capable folk. Be very interesting to know what they manage to achieve / have achieved.
  12. Maybe it’s another case like “when the bear went over the mountain”. Have you read that book, you’d like it.
  13. The lad died clearing mines voluntarily, he had spent more than two years fighting there, and was part of a four man sniper unit. He also within his time there became fluent in Kurdish. He was 24 when he died. Most British 24 year old shit themselves if they lose WiFi and can’t get on snap chat.
  14. You ain’t met my Mrs mate. She is a fighter, has a lot more regular fights than me on a weekly basis and is pretty handy ?
  15. There is something very strange about the way a lot of the news reports and things have been filmed. Something just not dirty or busy enough in the photos.
  16. My life is many things, but not boring ? also my Mrs won’t let me go play ?
  17. Yer I don’t think they will just be providing “African solutions, to African problems” anymore ?
  18. This was filmed three years ago .....
  19. My only experience of the Ukraine up till now is that it has a banging night life and clubbing scene and lots of hot women.
  20. I wasn’t meaning the ex service men mate. I have a few mates who are ex forces and who are now privateers. It has paid very well. Out of the two that immediately spring to mind, one is just good at it and financially clever. The other is a born warrior and I expect he is following his ancestral path! He left the army but will always want to be a warrior. They are both slightly frightening human beings. When I said boring people, I was more thibking that every war needs some cannon fodder, if we sent a load of our population out there, we might only get 30% back but they would be somewhat
  21. I reckon he was right on that other thread and you’ve just discovered the white powder ? you’ve gone from a watcher to the most opinionated 20 something on here very quickly ?
  22. Plenty will go out and fight. It’s amazing how many foreign nationals are fighting in places like Syria against daesh. Lots of westerners went to fight in Burma for the Kachin as well. Happens loads, and why not, there are a lot of folk who live pointless boring lives. Go out somewhere, live a life, have an adventure and maybe do something good. But if you survive you have some cool stories either way.
  23. I’m sure it’s been covered, but the North American Terrorist Organisation are c**ts, the Russians are c**ts, everyone is a c**t.
