  1. all first cross stag borzois with mummy and daddy in the last pic
  2. different terrier for different places, if chased foxes down rabbit holes so you need somthing tiny other wise your ganna be there all day with the fox a step ahead, for trees you need a long legged dog still spannable, and some dens you just want some big ba###rd to kill it down there and drag it out but on average id say a 13inch dog thats spanable is pretty good for most things keep up with the runners or the ute climb trees and push cover aswell as fit in any acctual den
  3. today we had a fox in a old tip sort of thing it was meters down and across of chicken wire and fencing and barbed wire mixed in with concrete blokes tree roots pieces of steal and other things my terrier had the fox in there for a good hour but i managed to call him off once after 30 minutes where we wiated and nothing bolted and then i put him down agian and the fox eventually bolted after that, there was no way you could get to him, we tryed, impossible, and the dog had it most of the time he was down lugged up hard on its a#s as he only had half a dozen marks or so, any way what would you
  4. so out of interest sake what was your prefrence
  5. would it be fare to say blokes that prefer a bolt have running dogs or do many of you irish blokes have them but still just prefer a dig hey mark, bow had one of those big bouncy thing by the balls the other day, funny to watch, luckily my stag pup was on hand to finish it but lol
  6. i personally like abit of veriation in my hunting giving all my dogs the oppurtunity to see everything, that why i like to both dig down on a fox and have them bolt to the runners (perferably the diggings done in the sand, and the bolting in the clay) what do you like
  7. same as a rabbit, you'd slip them on them
  8. ya good read, i always love it when you run a dog in slightly flooded paddocks and waters flying everywhere
  9. no the dogs worked fine on there own and with other dogs but as i siad they werent fighters they were barkers meaning they dont push face first into any fox that might get in there way prefering to work from hole to hole untill the fox bolts
  10. nah iv done it heaps and most of the blokes i'v hunted with do it aswell, although all those dogs were bialing dogs not a whole lot of balls, each would still do the job, but they wouldnt give each other a hard to time no dogs ever got puinshed by the fox and no dramas ever occured, if things started to get ruff we'd just call your dogs out by name, the dogs i work with now but are abit harder and so its not what i like to do, although i will put a young pup behind my dog and so does everyone i know including the hunt clubs, aslong as your dogs are well socialised and have half a brian in ther
  11. white hairy dogs an ibizian x staghound the two on the left are ibizan stags both ibizian stags and the one on the right found caught and killed the 8 we got at day before the other dogs had got there alot of them struggle to kill but other then that they make catching hare rabbits and foxes no fun at all they do it way to fast
  12. why talk about it then when you say yourself you've never experienced them
  13. hows those dogs of yours going anyway stabs
  14. youve obviously never experienced one as a cross bred dog they catch so fast and so often they have no reason to voice and out of about the 30 iv hunted with only one voices and it's light and rare
  15. f#ch you got me i thought it was one of those weird english pigs lol
  16. we call them bush greyhounds over here just breed for hunting but even they are only marjonaly better then track dogs there good killers but they kill anything and stock proffings hard there just to dumb when something runs they chase, there just to fast they cant move in tight spaces iv seen them skinned on trees before from there shoulder to there hip even half greyhounds are troublesome dogs, the reason there sh#t is exactly the reason there crossed to dumb to fast i dont even think id own a half greyhound ever agian although they all caught and killed fantastically iv never seen one live o
  17. they were'nt ibizian's if they werent smart
  18. if you were my neioghboir id do the same its your fault and you should fix it im sick of hearing usless pets around me barking there heads off while i can have as many as 6 in my yard on chains or by themselves and none will ever make a whimmper i spend hours getting up in the middle of the night curing my dogs of this proberlem and it's up to you to do the same, you should start thinking about other poeple they have the right to a good sleep aswell
