  1. my terrier gose to ground on rabbits and foxes its a pain in the arse but my uncles dog hunts only off the lead and will finds any rabbit walk striaght past there holes but if it finds a fox den it gose crazy until the fox bolts i belive keep it away from rabbits till its over a year old tghen it should be smart enough to no whats its ment to hunt
  2. i know an awsome gsp x greyhound its huge fast and could take anything iv got a pure bred gsp that goes hard on a fox and can almost catch a rabbit i dont no any good gwp and iv never owned one but i wouldnt hesitate doing my own gsp cross grey go for it i reacon
  3. i mainly use my dogs for foxing at night but i use the terriers for denning alot and let my staghound take care of them, i do alsorts of other stuff but i specilise in foxing
  4. i wouldnt bother a stag, pointer x, bullygrey or bullarab r the best pig dogs for todays sort of ute work heeler or kelpie aswell if u want a bailier i wouldnt stuff around with much else, you wont get better then what we've got plus we've got the working strain in dogs
  5. ya mate got a bloody good one as hard smart plaicid and fast as they come never put him on a pig but he happly nocks over roo deer and fox on his own and iv hunted with alot of awsome pig dogs bull arabs and bully greys mostly but id happily put him up agianst anything
  6. also theres no use lugging up on the back legs that no good for anyone or the dogs things r only ganna get hurt and if u eat the pig or sell it it will wreck the meat
  7. i belive a good staghound can do anything but you cant stick a pig if the dogs havnt got a hold of it and if the dog lets go just befor your about to stick it then your only seconds away from getting a tusk through the legs miles from anywhere all in all if a dog wont lugg up then it anit worth nothin to any seriouse pig hunter
  8. feel sorry for all you blokes in england in australia we can hunt almost everything with dogs and everything with guns (thats worth hunting) and the things we cant with dogs (kangaroos) well australias so big no one can catch you anyway, so we all do it
  9. if he pisses in your house rub his nose in it and put it outside itll learn fast that way and if u stay firm and patient it will come good just dont let up and reguarly put it outside
  10. oi but how do you stop your terrier from going down rabbit holes while keeping them to go down fox holes is there a special way of trianing them or is it just the dog
  11. my staghound has just had his toe cut off, i was wondering if he'll still be able to run the same and turn as good as he used to, he caught 6 foxes on the weekend when he still had a broken toe so he should do better when its gone ya?
