One's no good, you would need at least 6 GOOD hounds to be of any benefit. And even then you wouldnt put foxes in at the same rate as a pack. You would need permission for hunting with hounds as opposed to just terriers, insurance for hunting with hounds..& help to watch cattle, roads etc. Isolated kennels...hounds are noisy. Hound trailer etc etc def not worth it, join the local pack & help out!

My advice to lads is to look on everybody here as a possible "Anti". The footage from a dig can be portrayed as a genuine, down to earth, honest, country sport who's objective is to manage the fox population (vermin) in a humane & effective manner. The very same footage can be manipulated by the Anti brigade to make terrierwork look like an evil bloodsport carried out by thugs hell bent on animal cruelty. Im surprised anyone would invite strangers out with them or accept invitations by strangers. Ignore any insults and for that matter friendly invites. We work our terriers with the local p

He sounds like an anti to me boys...all blow holing & then challenging everyone he can to meet up for a bit of digging. The majority of us go about our business in a professional respectful manner. But they have a way of twisting things to make us look bad!

I didn't write the article, I got it off another well known forum you nob. You might get a lob on at Foxdropper but I don't play ball sorry.. I've said it to him and I'll say it to you, bring your dogs out for a play and we will see how the breeding olds up. We have the dogs that do the job. Anybody can talk a good game and preach what they've read in a book, trouble is when something crops up that isn't covered in the book then they don't know what to do. Never told rippem how to hunt coyotes just said I wouldnt keep that cur! & still wouldnt. Id be inclined to agree with Lenmcharrister surely a purpose bred dog could be developed to take em!

rippem I've nothing against Americans in fact I like em, but you talk some bull...problem with different colours in pats you want them uniform, you think pabs is on d ball, that the british should revere & look up to B Nuttal.(I dont know but wouldnt dream of telling them what they should r should not do) I think you're v naive & havent a clue & arrogant to boot. I know that FFS, my point is rippem in the US is telling lads in d UK, they should revere him as a legend, make it their business to get to know him, to learn from him! My point is plenty of lads in d UK are v good terriermen in their own right. If anyone knows about Nuttal & his line of terriers they do & dont need to be lectured by a foreigner who wouldnt be in the know, let alone know him. Did you ever hear "You should never meet your hero"? Dont know Brian, dont know much about his dogs. (Only to hear from genuine lads that his terriers have been mite sized for a while now.) But I wouldnt dream of telling English lads what they should or should not do or think about another English terrierman, many of whom might know the person in question when I myself have never met him!
