  1. I thought 3 in 1 was a mineral oil don't let it get near any of the o rings .
  2. Very nice mate. I don't know what had been sprayed on the action and stock it came to me like that. Probably some sort of farm chemicals the gun had been a hunters gun for years before I got it.
  3. Sorry I have been out the loop only just seen this thread. Cracking work Jimmy that 35 looks mint. All I did with the insides is lots of polishing had the piston converted to take new type seal fitted a new seal fitted a tbt kit but the spring in it has a kink in it and one guide was a bit looser than I would of liked so it still twangs a bit. Looking great though.
  4. Hi mate don't think hw99 ones will fit I tried with mine before I sent you the gun.
  5. Glad to see your getting to know her well.
  6. Look Forward to seeing the refurbishment pics Jimmy and sending you those guns meant I finally had to pull my finger out and have a good look at my 97 strip of the carbon wrap properly bed it into the CS 700 and fit an adjustable but pad. Also fitted a shope last night so it's win win as far as I am concerned.
  7. Hello money received thanks . Did you get the pictures? Pianoman just been checking out your neck of the woods it's a long way out of the way from cambourne to derby but was worth a look .I can go via the a1 coming off near Grantham instead off a14, m1 to derby. But car with kids and wife means I can't do another hour or two on top it hurts my ears.
  8. Just to add I can drop the rifles off at etwall near derby this weekend if that's any help . Cheers
  9. You probably want pistol pellets they are flat head and very short been ages since I had any . Can't remember name or make.
  10. Why didn't he remove all the air first i don't get it !
  11. There are some good strip down vids on YouTube . Not that i have bothered Jimmy is, having mine ?
  12. Did you do any work on the trigger of that hawke? I have a vukcan I have rebuilt and it needs something doing with the trigger. I have heard about pen springs and polishing.
  13. Hi Jimmy that's,a kind offer but i think i would rather offer you the 35 if you wanted it at a good price, i have other guns that need stock work that i am more likely to keep long term .i would be happy with £120 for the 35 i have spent a bit more but i really do need to thin my collection i dont have enough bags for them all let alone time to shout them all .
  14. Forgot to say the 35 has the older walking stick knob style stock if you know what i mean. Looks like some good grain under it too.
  15. You do some lovely work mate dont worry the, raider is, waiting for you . The 35 situation is its a 1977ish .22 model blueing a bit worn all over and stock a bit worn all over but not split. I have had the piston machined and fitted a new new style seal new breach seal a set of tbt guides but the spring that's in that's in it is not the best bit of a kink so it still has a twang. Its had new breach shims the barrel cleaned and both ends re crowned , trigger settings messed about with but not stripped it yet,so its, alot better than it ever had been but still not as good as my our 95 bo
  16. Mine is repair my scorpion t10 I filled it up at the club about the months ago and it just started hissing out the fill pet so i put it back in the bag still hissing in disgust and used my hornet. Ordered a new seal kit got out the bag and its still holding air !! Anyway that's first on my list . Then just got my old 97 out of storage after trying to sell it then ignoring it for 6 months only to find i have been a Wally its really nice to shoot and very accurate so i need to pay with that i have a cs700 for it and basically just need to shoot it lots and fall in love again . I have just f
  17. Read the article on shooting springers on this site it will get those groups down faster than anything else.
  18. Just finished a tune up job on my mk2 its probably one of the nicest springers I own firing cycle ways. Also I have been shooting it most nights this week and discovered you need to do a, sharp snap with the trigger to get the best accuracy. I have discovered a trick to getting the barrel lock pin back in on your own as well.
  19. Im not buying any thing else until iv got my FX WILD CAT 177 BUT IM TEMPTED VERY TEMPTED JUST MY CUP OF TEA THIS NEEDS WORK AND THE STOCK TO iF YOU STILL HAVE HER AFTER IV BEEN TO THE SHOOTING SHOW THIS WEEK END WE MAY JUST TALK ABOUT HER ONCE I SEE HOW MUCH WONGA IV GOT LEFT LOL ATVBJIMMY  Let me know and I'll send you some pics it needs a re blue not pitted looks like it had some sort of corrosive stuff sprayed near it . The stocks just old and worn I can confirm its accurate though which is, all I was worried about . Its one of the first so ass
  20. I would recommend a second hand hw100 and a second hand HW 99,95,,97/77.most of them can be had for £150-£160 if you don't worry about external condition. Try to stick to a x40 scope they are worth more second hand and give more fitting options than x50 . Hawk panarama are the best in my opinion if you can find one . You need half mill dot reticle. And you will be much better off with .177 15-40 yards more or less straight shooting . .22 takes much more skill you would be up and down your mill dots holdover, hold under etc .
  21. If you are a reasonably fit person then a pump is, no problem ,I think the average air gun enthusiast jugging by my club does not fit into that catagory. so bottles are always recommended. Secret is not to pump from full to empty all the time just pump it every 40 shots or so. I know you want a pcp but you really would be missing out by not learning to shoot with a decent weihrach springer second hand is not a problem . Pcps are so boring for plinking be very suprised if you manage Even one tin a month Letty alone 200 a day . I have both but don't ever bother practicing with the PCP
  22. I have a leaking brum built .22 single shot raider its on my to do list, to fix the leak. But the action and stock need renovating would sell it as is, for £100 if anyone is, interested ?
