Thinking Of Buying One Of These
dayglowfrog replied to bigmac 97kt's topic in General Airgun Discussion
I am biased but there are parts of the world with signs saying Toyota only from this point onwards usually big desserts. There is a reason for that . If reliability is what you want. -
I have asked the two land owners I have some contact with but they said they get asked all the time and one did it themselves the other really didn't have any problems nether were interested in letting me just shoot targets . Think I just don't want to waste my first impression as you only get one chance with each land owner . I know there are permissions letters written by Davey I could print off and modifie .

Hi I have been into shooting air rifles for over two years now I have a large collection that I need to thin down . But other than one squirrel only ever shoot hft or plinking and practising . I have only just got into cop's though I have three to choose from . But my main love is Springer's Just wandered off anyone would be up for taking me out to shoot some rabbits or pigeons etc. I am confident in my accuracy and stealth as well as gutting and skinning but would like someone with experaince to show me how it should be done so I could feel more confident in asking for permisions etc.

Hi head sizes on the tin don't actually mean very much they might be an indication that a third of that tin are on the large size but maybe not . It's all about what die size was used . Most of the h&n that I have used have been really tight skirt wise never measured the head but they seem very big. Go on intershoot if you want get serious about batches etc. Back to the topic at hand a 95 should just be very accurate and not pellet fussey so it's unlikely to be down to pellets in my opinion . I have a 35 I am currently trying to work out what's going on with ,it is at least 40 years

These are £40 brand new and about £20 second hand so keep that in mind before you spend money on it. Everyone loves to hate them but I just got one to pay about with because of all the hype. And it's fun to shoot that's all that matters. Use kitchen foil to rub the rust off then put some oil on it. Welcome to the forum.

Prosport Tbt Full Drop-In Kit
dayglowfrog replied to si brown's topic in Rifle Reviews, Technical Help and Tips
You were lucky to get the power up that high on a standard spring. I failed on my mk3 txhc. 177 you really need a mk2 spring and guide set with the short stroke extension then it's all just easy without massed power washers. The mk2 spring is stiffer and different id. -
I know we have never spoken but I feel I know you from your great posts. Hope you get well soon and do more great posts it had inspired me to have a go on some of my stocks.

Seal kits are cheap enough as well. I just resealed a regulator on my scorpion very easy

Hi there is some really good videos on how to strip the raider down on you tube. I haven't done mine but it looks easy enough.

It all looks really nice to me mate your fps spread speaks for its self. I fitted a silencer adapter over my barrel then a silencer been doing this since I tuned it. Not sure how easy it would be to get the adaptor off again had to tap it on past the front v sight cut outs but the extra weight at the end of the barrel makes a difference to accuracy and sound. The adaptor was not expensive on ebay and the silencer was about £15 from a bloke that made them my advice fit a big O ring on the adaptor to stop it getting loose. I still have a small buffalo river gun bag for my 99 and just screw

Power washers do make a difference in. 177 99's. got mine set at just over 11 with one power washer standard spring tbt kit, not jumpy just quick and accurate. Admit it was a bit low power when new without kit just over 10 but don't know about Welsh wily springs and things, there was nothing wrong with my hw spring.

I found a 4mm thick brass piston weight inside my 97 after it had a vmach kit fitted by a previous owner so its a common thing to miss . Happy days you have yours just right. So what are you going to tune next ? -

Sounds like you are happy that's what counts .i would want a top hat to keep things in line if it was me . You could try wearing ear defenders it takes away allot of the high end noises and lets you know if there is still anything undesirable going on inside ,the cocking arm on 77/97 can set off some reverb but you can deal with that very easy and if yours is new it might not do that anyway . -

Just been reading this thread don't understand the reluctance to chop a coil or two off ,you are miles over the limit .if you had used jsb rs or falcon accuracy plus (same pellet) you would probably be another ftp above your current readings. It really is dead easy 5-10 minutes to do a really good job and as others have said the power washers bring it up to exactly were you want it easy. Gun smiths and tuners don't mess about putting 500 -1000 pellets through them . From some of the hft masters shooters I have met you want about 11.2 ftp on a .177 77/97 for the best shooting cycle with medi
