    I have the tbt kit and short stroke on mine with a massive whopa silencer makes it a very quiet gun . For me it's the difference between setting off the neighbours dogs or not.

    I agree will never buy another non AO scope .i could use it for hft at lower mag and the AO works a bit better but I like high mag. I know alot of people use 6x but the mil dot's are bigger than the kill zones you never miss close shots though. It probably should say not suitable for air guns on this model of scope especially since this is the entry level Hawke scope and lots will buy for air rifle s. The more annoying thing is I bought two planning to set up two guns a tx and a 97 with the same time to use in hft. The ao is not set identical on both scopes anyway one is sligh

    Got the lock ring off with a hair dryer and rubber strap wrench. It's a 3x9x40 vantage. Seems they are using some sort of rubber to hold that bit on . Can't get the focus ring to move , hacksaw was used in the slits so I could get a trowel blade mounted in a vice on it but still will not budge. Heated it up when doing this as much as I dare. I want to use the scope for hft at x9 but its ao is set for around 50 yards so I am blurred at anything less than 30 yards . Still got some good kill zones .

    I like the fact the in campaigns can put exact figures on how much holidays will go up and house hold income will go down just two examples of the bollox. Yet according to them exit is a step in the dark who knows what will happen . I think it would be the best thing for us and for the eu if we get out might make the people who run it lift there heads out of the sands and make a few changes. It's a sinking ship and this is the only life boat so we should use it, let them sort themselves out.

    At the moment I favour a very lose grip using the thumb and finger only ,rest of the hand just resting and trying to stay out of the way. So the thumb hole completely changed my style maybe if it had been the Wood version I could of sanded it until it felt right but I doubt I would o if wanted to risk ruining a Wood kt stock. Its not that I wasn't getting good groups with the kt stock after practice but it just didn't feel right and those annoying times when you forget to take of the safety before getting ready for a shot.

    why is it we are second highest contributor but get one 28th of a say in anything and Germany makes all the rules anyway. Hitler is probably laughing it up down in Argentina on some life support thinking why didn't I just do that . Winston Churchill is probably spinning like a very Spinny thing in his grave saying wtf doesn't anyone remember what we were fighting for.

    out for me .we might not get another chance to try going it on our own again,before getting sucked even further into the EU mess .I am sure they would come begging for us to re join it we give them so much money. put it another way if we were not in it now would anyone honestly vote to join it.At the moment it seams like it's the fourth riech without all the nasty fighting but that's still to come.France economy on its knees Italy and Greece should be chucked out and we are all paying too keep corrupted regimes going watch the Brussels business on you tube .vote in if you want to be dragged do

    I think I spent long enough attempting to like the sythetic kt stock I had ,daily practise sessions and lots of messing about with scope positions and eyepiece extenders. Got to my local hft club at the exact moment a 97 sporter stock was going on the table for 40 so snapped it up and got an offer on the kt one so got rid. The whole kt stock thing was not helped by me being a thumb up shooter and getting c a tx a week before the 97 . Now the 97 is much more like the tx in feel and I can finally use the safety like a sane person.

    thanks for the welcomes my plan at the moment is to get as good as I can then try to get some sort of permission or find someone who could show me the ropes .I have never shot anything live other than those massive yellowy orange slugs .not much of a challenge but very satisfying if you grow anything.

    the 900x is not a bad little fun gun mine was very twangy had very little lube in it.Seems very well built for the money mine is .22 and it's pretty accurate takes me around 15 shots to get a good feel for the trigger then I can do pellet on pellet at 15 yards.

    I have a .177 rws walther cp225 that is co2 and had an 8 shot magazine maybe something like that would do for close range stuff ?I have only used it on slugs so far makes a right mess of one of those.

    maybe I should add .I started off with a stoeger x20s that I have fitted a drop in kit done the c trigger mod .then a 900x that is not a bad little rifle after a lube job. I then couldn't decide between a 99 or hatsan 55 as my first .177 for hft ,got the 99 fitted a tbt kit the first week I had it then a as new 55 turned up so I got that too the previous owner tuned it for me and is amazingly accurate. then I got a 36 year old hw80 .22 in need of some love was doing 18fp soon sorted that out its now short stroked been home tuned and had a massive silencer put on this will be main hunting gun
