IIRC the 783 was a modular design and cheaply made with I believe quite a bit of plastic where steel should be .....going to have to check now..... Ummmm....not sure now. It's based on the marlin x7. My personal opinion of Remington is keep away from anything post 2000 unless you like fixing and tuning firearms. Same for marlin post 2000! Sorry.

Well done feller's. Good long shot but I would opt for the 87 yarder anyday of the week.

Are you ok....I've started turning my phone off at night ?

Well they been making these things for decades and just like ordering a Chinese I call it #69 on account it cost £69 new! It's very accurate after a tune and trigger job. 177. About 27yds the pair. Oh and vintage eley wasps too.

A fox's eyes are brighter and he moves different than a fox. Failing that I get closer.

No mate, just needed a wind.

I get in trouble most days so it's no surprise really mate.
-
Yep, that's the one. You gotta be quick to catch it mind. The bouncing foot when they are sitting is another clue!

Women often say the opposite to what they really mean you know! ?

Your right mate. Over time the flash hole or vent get bigger from flame erosion. Bessy's was 3mm so I drilled a stainless M5 bolt with a 2mm hole. Drilled and tapped Bessy's vent M5 and screwed the new vent in place. She was getting very powder greedy! This is like a gastric band and now her appetite for powder has returned to normal measures . It was worth doing as she is a willing girl! That big lock is still quite fast and she rarely misfires.

Thanks mate.

Wind! No wind down here. Been waiting for a breeze to look over some lambs.

? Which broad head?

Mexico! Building a wall? Young doe, what's her name? (If that's ok).

Been a bit low, you know, winter. To many bouts of cold and flu. Anyway got a few. Raised that one early morning after spotting some a activity the morning prior. 2oz of BB sorted it at 15 yds. Took about 30+ pheasants this season which is good for me. Had to recently add a vent liner to Bessy. It's made a huge difference to her efficiency. So how you all doing? U.

It actually states for 22 subsonic mate so a little yes. It's kind of a compromise, any slight inclination from pararell to the bore and it will be different from one rifle to another! In the past many a rifle has had to have its scope shimmed! Only ever have I owned one rifle where upon a centered scope lined up perfectly with the bore, a tikka T3.

There, we have an answer. I can see it being off in certain circumstances though.

That's what I wondered, it's got to be an approximation I guess!

Right feller's I took your advise and went to a local fun shop and bought a hawk vantage. The glowing ret is way better for my dodgy eye, I don't have fight to see both anymore. Thanks for the suggestion. I find I have to twiddle with the fast focus too for close range stuff these days also. My old weaver could not facilitate that! The new scope has aiming points graduated for 22 LR but it seems to be just as useful for WMR. Thanks feller's ?

Get them shot. Vermin the lot of them. Seriously though, shoot your 22 some and wait ten minutes. Then start squealing. Bet Charlie shows up and put one across his ribs, he won't go far.

Oh for goodness sake. Tell me Alsone, have you actually hunted large game with centerfires rifles?
