Just put a nice lump of beef brisket in the slow cooker, got a pile of crusty bread rolls and a few nibbles going to chop a load of wood in a minute and later anyone sad and lonely in the marina is invited to sit around the fire pit talk shit and have some scram and a few beers though I won’t be supplying the drinks ?

There is a private road near that little pub we went to that is home to the rich and famous, my mate got his uni mog stuck in a new lawn in front of one of the mansions up there, looked firm and good but sunk down to the axles as soon as it went on there, it tore a trench right across the lawn getting it out, he only went up there to trim a tree ??

Just been and had a quick look at this and must just rectify something, it’s not the biggest mobile crane, it’s the biggest mobile crane on rails, can see it from a fair distance, funny thing about this project it’s been on going for years and has made very little progress, couple of volunteers with spades, but a couple of years ago the government started looking at ways to get water to London as they are running low and it turned out the cheapest and easiest way to do it by a considerable margin was to open the old canal that used to link the Severn to the Thames, and over night all those obs

This is going on about a mile or so from me, the main Bristol to Birmingham railway has been removed to reinstate the old stroudwater canal,, I should be able to travel through this tunnel within the next two years all being good, big project, all the castings were made on site and they have the biggest mobile crane in England lifting them in, been working round the clock through Christmas ?

Looking through some of these adds I recon 10k in a carrier bag and a bit of door knocking should see me find a plot between half an acre and an acre, a new quest for the new year cheers

I know there is a few folk on here from the Gloucester area and I was wondering if anyone knows the rough cost of land per acre, I,m after something that is either along the Gloucester sharpness canal or the river Severn between Gloucester and Tewkesbury which is all flood plains and will never be suitable for developing ???
