    we I've been a member of THL for bout a year and a half now and I've got to know who knows there stuff... and when it comes to tuning springers its Charlie caller over the years I've done all sorts to piston seals, I've boiled them softened them up and bathed them in rubber rejuvenator! but one thing stands out in a lot of post's VORTEK seals!     What rifle are you using?! Only ever used the 4.52's It's about as exotic as my local shop gets, these smooth twist barrels seem to favour bigger head sizes! The pellet and gun combo are far more accurate than me so alls good! Cheers Si hw100kt, hw barrels love the German pellets/h&n there's a good choice! id try sticking a few h&n hunter extremes through it, my hw95 loves them... wish the rifle I'm using in this post did!

    air bottle all the way! my mates hw100 is donkeys years old and never had a service! when you go to get the bottle filled they will probably have to keep it a couple of days as they get to hot and have to be filled in stints! atb si

    decided to take the prosport out today after I dropped the kids back! went to a nearby perm that usually has a bit of bird activity, so I set my zero at 40yrd... after about six shots and a bit of tweaking it was grouping as well as any pcp I own it was bloody hot, as it probably is allover at the moment so I only stopped for an hour cos id put jeans on so I didn't get nettled to bits, the prosport is a pleasure to use, no hold issues ! these are just a few of todays session as theres a farm track behind these trees with a drystone wall with a hedge growing on top of it that i do

    Get her tuned and polished Si you will never pick another springer up mate honest the best of the best atvbjimmy :thumbs: think its been done jimmy the only mark I can find is on the trigger guard, its smoother than anything I've ever used before... its got a slight twang! so will benefit from a de/re grease... its putting out 10.6 ftlb with aa fields,that will soon be sorted though I can't see how the ps and 97 can be compared... two totally different beasts cheers si

    cheers jimmy its come up really well, think I'll attack the streamline with wire wool soon the loading/ firing cycle is mint and the recoil is more or less gone.. when I get round to sorting the trigger I'll put up some pictures, it looks like I've forged some of the sear's with me lump hammer taking the kids to York today and theres a good gunshop on the out skirts so I may treat her to a nice leather sling!! ate si

    had today off so i spoke to jimmy and he told me how to sort the stock out as the Finnish wasn't so good! so i rubbed her down with 0 wire wool and gave her a bath and dried her off outside.. then did a generous coat of tung oil, left on for an hour then wiped off... put it all back together and here she is I'm well happy now but I've got a bit of work to do on the trigger when i can be bothered, its not exactly smooth!! so seen as though all the neighbours are out i did a chrono and a re zero due to power increase... this works out at 11.8 ftlb so I'm more than happy with that!

    NO MATE THATS THE WAY IT COME BUD ITS GOT THIS COATING ON IT FROM THE FACTORY MATE LOOKS SHIT AND IT WAS ON ALL THE ACTION TOOK SOME GETTING OFF I CAN TELL YOU SEAN ATVBJIMMY :thumbs: thats the stuff that there all using now!! wtf the prosport was covered in the stuff and the lads had to send a couple of hw's back because they've sprayed it down barrels! he's been told not to send them back and rod them out with a brass brush
