strikers are very good, i have both for the dogs and rifle, i also have a scope mount striker too. the only trouble i have had is the plugs they seem to melt , so i allways cut the plugs off and put lawn mower plugs on now , i have never had any trouble other than that. so go for a striker like allready has been said they are a good allrounder.

  8. i thought i would put up a bit about wildfowling for beginners WHAT IS WILDFOWLING wildfowling is an ardous but very romantic , a lonely sport and for a newcomer it is one of the hardest to learn . it involves safety, quarry identifcation ,marsh craft and ethics . when out wildfowling you will experience some wonderful sights and hear some sounds that will amaze you . wildfowling is a dangerous sport and should be taken very seriously, wilfowling also involves the pursuit of ducks and geese and some waders in bodies of water on estries and marshes . wildfowling can be a very we

  11. hi matt ,S/S has given you good advice , i try to get to shoot the tay about 3 or 4 times a year its a great place to shoot. its also very big place to shoot too, with limited access points on to the foreshore, which means very long walks to where you need to be . my advice would be try these http://www.tvwa.co.uk/ see how you get on also if i remember when shooting montrose basin, you have to apply to the ranger in your area for a permit but this has to be done by july i think im not quite sure just check on it mate . if you need anything else mate just let me know if i can help

  16. i can honestly say john that i have never had any trouble from other clay shooters in all the years i have been using a SEMI AUTO , i shot in the lincolnshire poachers clay league for years with a SEMI AUTO ,i also shot the clubman shoot with one for a few years , but i know where your coming from john some shooters dont like the fact the you cannot see if the gun is loaded out side the cage when the bolt is foward , i see alot of clay shooters now days that use SEMI AUTOS with the bolt back with a bung in the action with a red or green tag showing that the gun is empty .
  17. that is great advice S/S, also lots of people now use a SEMI AUTO 3 SHOT for clays ,i for one do.. there lighter less recoil but i use my auto for everything bar pheasant shooting .and shoot real well at clays with it .
