    Merry x mas

Happy Christmas to everyone on THL. Have a good day.
  2. Her life used to be Friday nights in Newcastle with the girls, till we met,- second date i took her trout fishing, and she really got into fly fishing. Then i got a couple of ferrets, and she soon ended up with 60 as a rescue and showing them. She loves the dogs but has not been out with them. She now enjoys cooking game, which she would never have eaten before. Now she is into a bit of photography,- birds. Still moans a fair bit about muddy boots, but can't have it all ways.
  3. Crackin Lurcher and very healthy looking pups Acuspell. My type of lurcher
  4. Paying a lot of money never guarantees a good home. He will do his best to find out as much as possible about the homes they go to, but you can tell a lot just by speaking to the people after the pup and keeping intouch with the new owners till you know everything is ok. Thats what we do with anything we are asked to rehome.
  5. You can give him £400 quid if you want, you still get the same pup.
  6. My reply to this thread was to lodgesmith and i have been intouch with him re-the pups. I know the owner and he works his dogs well. Its the price your argument is about. End of
  7. LDR's dog Bruce was a rescue dog from shelter,- some shite Whin.
  8. Riohog, you have just contradicted everything. Yes your right its homework,- finding out about the dogs breeding, seeing parents, knowing the owner and what work the parents have done. Condition of the pups etc. So money is a lottery,- what you pay for the well bred pup. This bloke is not after a lot of money. Great pups but as you say you don't have to buy them.
  9. Its breeding for high prices that is the problem in the dog world, pups on the go all the time to make money.
  10. I co run a ferret rescue, but for some reason folk also bring dogs to me to rehome. I have rehomed many dogs over the last few years,- one was a lurcher that cost £1500, it did its job but the lad just brought it to me as he said i'd find it a good home. No cost,- and many other dogs that cost a fair few pounds, gone free. So money means nothing, to the type of home its going to.
  11. I'm very surprised at that comment from Whin,- he is always on about working dog lads helping each other out.
  12. What the hell do you mean by that. These are quality pups by a good working dog lad, who only bred to keep a pup back for himself and just covering his costs. He is not a regular breeder in it for the money.
  13. I know you said February, but there are good pups going now, £50 and not far from you. If interested pm me.

  18. We have heard about these reports, and the North East Ferret Rescue show was cancelled to be on the safe side. We have not found any vet though that has come across any confirmed case of it, for many years. Not in the North anyway.
