  1. The best of lurchers ive owned earnt their stripes with some dubious practices. The facts are that id not advocate anyone to sink to the level that some do to introduce a runner at its quarry, ive never introduced a lurcher to early, ive often introduced them when the practice of introduction would make many folk shudder at the lengths ive sunk to.Ive sunk to sewer levels to introduce a reluctant enterer.Id leave any sapling until it was at least 7 months of age and then spend every working hour introducing it.If a dubious practice was the best way to educate a reluctant student id be dubious,id
  2. £800 for a pair i can justify.to be honest i thought there was alot of greys bred that they cull most of the pups because they don't want to sell there blood to rivals.
  3. i agree with you king ...it's bullcrap.i was in the minorty of people who thought it was to much to soon.if you want to look back at that tread trigger put up go and have a look.as for droppers thats disgusting.my view on that is also on another thread about the huntsman who put a fox cub in with the hounds in a barn about 2 months ago.
  4. when someone on here lamped there mutt at 4/5 months, trigger i think people were saying thats the way to do it and kissing his arse.if your face fits, your face fits.
  5. somerset but would travel anywhere.a bloke who comes to my work has racing greys and i always try and have a chat with him.apparently he's very good(he told me that)travels all over the country to race.not sure what distance they race at but if it's distance runner could i source a pup from him considering the time between 1st and last at a greyhound race is only a second.what might be considered slow to race would still be the fastest dog i've seen.
  6. i was hoping you could give me a heads up on any litters.
  7. he deff got some good stock there ,my dog Buck , his sire Razzmatzz big distance greyhound, Buck fast and good stamina , razz deff injected quality in to a lurcher . regards in pure form greyhounds, never ran one like a lurcher, there speed might be there down fall , more so lamping running 35-40 mph in the dark it would be heart in your mouth job deff with greyhound razzmatzz still about.?heard good things about him off d platts got to be 5/6 years ago now.
  8. i get it but shouldn't a dog thats built for running have superior feet not the other way around or maybe thats why they were retired in the 1st place, some lines of greys must have smart feet.can't be no worse than a whippet or whip/grey.do you know if anybodys got one from a pup and reared it.?
  9. think i was very unucky with my deer x.a deer x is much heavier so don't bounce as well as a smaller dog.getting one is probably not a great idea but it's something that always pops into my head.couple of grand each might see me getting a lurcher instead.
  10. not in it for massive numbers it's about the sport although i do want a fair result on em..use them as an all rounder.
  11. thats what i keep hearing but from people that have only rescued an adult .brought up on the land from pups, surely they will learn just like every other lurcher.
  12. sent him a pm already bird.nice marathon runner about 26tts lovely but why aint more doing it.?
  13. looking for a pup next spring/summer and after umming and arring i think i fancy a couple of greyhounds.i'm just going to enter them and use them just the same as lurchers.anybody on here had a pure greyhound from a pup and how did it turn out.?how much for a good one.?and anything else that could come in handy.cheers.
  14. a dropped rabbit won't teach your dog anything.
  15. yeah feck off with your show whippet and borders.
  16. speaking to a organic pig farmer today and he happened to mention he has 100's of rats around his pig arks.didn't take the conversation any further because i don't have terriers or smokers.i see him weekly and i could arrange a bit of sport for some good lads if your intrested. exeter way i think.
  17. UKIP polling at around 9% and have seen a mass exodus of members to the Tories, yep they're definitely on track to become the official opposition  Things change,Labour is dying. I have feeling you'l be seeing another mass exodus soon Biggest left wing party in Europe, definitely dying UKIP are definitely going to somehow win around 100 seats when their poll numbers and membership have been tanking since the referendum Diane James is bound to lead them to a great victory. What a strange world you must live in A lot is going to depend on how Teresa may and the conservatives ha
