ready for the season to start..
chesney replied to Jambalaya's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
I will say fair play ta ya fella ya did finally get the dogs and the history that goes with them that ya wanted after countless arguments and threads been pulled because of it ya have showed up alot of these lads this side ya made a statement one time what goes on in the dark always comes to light ya more less proved that with some these boys this side. Now that ya have them how do rate them against the booth bred and Nuttall bred stuff that side you seem ta have been around the block with terriers be interesting ta hear how they go. -

There's alot of that blood about there's good and bad in it like all lines but there's element out there lads let's be honest over breeding mass producing it's not doing that line any good in my opinion it's slowly killing it bitchs been bred at young ages with a few digs behind them dogs not full proven been used ta stud a man's name been attached ta stuff that he has no say in only that grand parents came from his yard and maybe some cases the parents and as whole it seems ta bring out a very jealous bitter side in some that do have it. -

Looks solid him ace Boone good head on him.
-
?
-
Looks a cracking dog nippy any of your old bitch of Toby in him.
-
If its of decent stuff with a history of producing and the lad seems genuine then why not €300-€500 is probably the price most will pay and it for obvious reasons there not in closed circles then the option of been gifted is not always there. I wouldn't knock a lad either for selling surplus pups but the other side is lads do seem ta have that extra few left over every 6 months.

There is still plenty lads deals with him and there plenty more did over the years for all he supposed to have done was it just he was ok when they wanted something of him and chose ta look the other way at any underhand dealings he did have or supposedly had. -
Nice stamp him zilverhaze

There's alot yards built of Nuttall dogs I'd say there still a fair bit of it about lads just don't say there's probably a few could even contribute to this thread aswell in a way Glyn did earlier.

At least this day and age DNA will prove alot if the breeders have nothing ta hide. Theres alot ta be said for been honest but always seems the honest lads get caught out with the shite. -

The bull blood is in lines now did it actually improve them or did it just produce dogs that won't last the pace or like to bully there quarry but then decide to quit when it's not going there way. -

They look like 2 big lumps I see that Keith dog mentioned on threads before. Did your own line of dogs originate from these dogs Shane -
It would be a handy way for lads ta find out if pups they bought in good faith over the years were the genuine article.
-
Only thing for a jacker put ta sleep or get it neutered that way it stops it from being bred from and pups sold to unsuspecting lads thinking there buying the dream. Dogs do have of days for various reasons but there only do many chances ya give them. I've seen some very well bred stuff throw in the towel 2nd and 3rd season tightly bred stuff and others bred worker ta worker with some very good stuff behind it.
-
It seems ta be a common occurrence lads pulling a c**ts trick with dogs best avoided if possible cut ties and just move on. Some lads are selling pups still thinking they have hold on them even after they have taken money for them even thinking they can use a dog for stud any time they please.
-
That should be an interesting read if it's based on his early stuff alot lads seem ta knock him in the last few years but there was plenty yards used Nuttall stuff as there Foundation stock. Is the book out anall.
-
A slow down on the mass production of pups for sale might be a start be more carefull who they sell the dream ta might help.
-
Lads are only giving there opinions corkman that's all everyone's entitled to that. I'm not one for going ta AGM and that prefer me own company but I will join both federations if it's funding that helps any cause.
-
It's done now they were caught the BBC got what they wanted just move on learn the lesson do your homework on strangers before an invite or just keep to a very closed circle. The genuine lads just have ta be that bit more careful as if it wasn't hard enough.
-
It didn't portray terrier work in a good light makes the standard of terriers look very poor all it's done is help a few cowboys look what they are. I think as a whole it will make lads wise up and bring a bit of common sense back around no phones no cameras nothing ta see or talk about here.
-
Standard of terriers was very poor should of been used as backfill. It might be an eye opener for some don't be so quick ta give strangers the invitation of a day out.

Wr owned the dog in his later years who bred him I honestly don't know wr got of another man but he was pushing on when wr got him he produced a few litters while when he got him the dog is dead 3 year.
