  1. Was out today and spotted some dropping into rape from a strip wood...hopefully they'll start hitting it properly sooner rather than later...

    canada geese

Agree baldie, most can be killed with small calibres if given a headshot...although we should strive for overkill rather than underkill always..
  3. Go Travis Perkins, etc and get some white insulation sheet (polystyrene) and sandwich it between the plywood in the kennel, I put mine between the blockwork and the ply..
  4. Anyone had any shooting on the woodies yet, there not really leaving the woods round my way, seem to be still living off any left over acorns/beachmast...hopefully january/february should start picking up...
  5. :welcomeani: Welcome donkey, hope you like it...
  6. One of my dogs has a really thin coat, he's normally got a jacket on him in the run when the weathers as it is...if hes out hunting, hes never stood around much, to get really cold.
  7. Hows your land doing, locally the numbers aren't great although theres enough to go at for the season...seems everywhere near me has suffered with mxy this year... ..Hopefully 2007 will be a bumper year..
  8. They look upto the job jigsaw, you will look the part now in the rocking chair..
  9. Personal preference...if you lamp mainly rabbits get a laserlite made by cluson, you can use it for fox,etc also but if I was after fox I'd prefer the lightforce striker/blitz the red filter is a lot better as well on this setup in terms of the beam also...

    Crow Call

I've used crow calls with great success, deakos version is good..the magpie caller on it is deadly also..although its illegal to use electronic calls on birds whilst shooting.

  14. Haven't really followed this thread, but comments with regard to butler being a bunny hugger, anti or messer can go out the window, I'd vouch for him 100%.....good man & dogs that get a LOT of work. Weird how these internet forums skewer views...you get people who do nothing, kill the odd fox or deer, etc and think they've done it all....then you get people who go out and do it day in day out and because of a few posts get slated as if there newbies or antis...amazing stuff..
  15. Family of bears could live in yours...

  17. I'd agree shooting times, probably the most viewed mag...countrymans weekly does get its share of buyers...I normally have a quick flick in the newsagents if theres anything of interest I by it, although its mainly all advertisers and shows in summer... a lot of gamies call it the poachers weekly..they hate it..
  18. That not true...I'm sound as a pound
