  1. Sending the stuff home in a balikbayan box for ukay-ukay,the country is currently being battered by typhoons, and wasn’t long ago hit with earthquakes,I think a Filipino seaman was drown off Aberdeen or Ullapool a couple of years ago?
  2. Probably Filipinos Juk,Thais aren’t a known seafaring race whereas Filipinos pay the POEA in Manila to get a visa for UK boats.
  3. Recharging your batteries with animism,I get it.
  4. I have met a couple of Filipinos working on Brit boats Juk,they have it cushy compared to one young Filipino I heard of working on a Panamanian registered boat, his first trip raped by a shipmate and thrown overboard, horrific. as for the guys you know they can walk away anytime they want, they aren’t true slaves, they paid agency fees in their homelands to get a work permit for the UK.
  5. I never “got it” either in all honesty Juk,I heard a few stories of people dying in meditation, one monk tried to explain to me that most western peoples minds are cluttered with inconsequential thoughts and meditation declutters and defrags the mind.but he was a bit of a let-down in the end as he asked could I get him a beer.
  6. I watch that guy Leo,I saw the doe he got with the pistol crossbow. I got some Zwicky heads yesterday and shot them at a cushion from 20 yards,it feels good and shoots where I aimed. The bow is fine but I am taking it into a bow shop across the river to get it tuned up Mel.All new bows benefit from a tuning, the guy I bought it off didn’t get it tuned he just flung a few arrows straight from the box, taking it into an archery dedicated store will tighten groups up.I have a bow in the UK that was a flagship model for Mathews and was just over a grand when I got it,this one feels alm
  7. I once trekked up a mountain path in the Himalayas with a monk,he was leaving food outside a hut, inside the hut was a junior monk seeking enlightenment,he wouldn’t see a human for three years, three months, three weeks and three days, then he would emerge from the hut hopefully enlightened and come down to the monastery a fully fledged monk.He didn’t want 10 or 5 million quid for his solitary meditative three years,it wasn’t for material possessions or gain.I learnt something that trip,my freedom and time,to me personally, are worth far more than a few quid,I want to live life, but I am aware we ar
  8. I sought enlightenment and found it (sort of) Walt.
  9. Time is the only currency you spend without knowing your balance, use it wisely.
  10. I know someone who “found” a Banksy and more importantly “the letter” from the rat-man which always authenticates it.
  11. UK travellers in Canada? No doubt you have heard of the trio who came here on false passports, started to tarmac drives, went out for a meal, dine and dash over a $100 dollar bill, killed the restaurant owner out on the sidewalk when he chased them, then fled back to the UK over the next few days all from different airports, they are currently in a UK nick awaiting extradition back over here, all for a $100 bill, silly sausages.
  12. Just seen this one, glove and boot warmer/dryer,looks decent.
  13. Calling it modern “Slavery” is making out the illegals were dragged kicking and screaming to the UK against their will mate, that’s not the case, they are always complicit.
  14. STOP!!!How long will this “Modern Slavery” go on?Everyone uses that term, everyone.I have met more illegal immigrants than the average bloke, way more,of loads of different nationalities, and not one of them was a “slave”,in fact they mostly paid to get to the UK,they paid to be so called slaves, they weren’t transported below deck shackled on the La Amistad against their will, they payed to be smuggled into the UK any which way as long as they arrived there, that’s the truth of the matter and it was always consensual.
  15. Yes indeed,I have just been out cleaning the car wearing snazzy pyjamas and my boots, the boots were as warm as toast,we always use a boot warmer here in the winter mate.
  16. Calm down Mr Green, don’t you go getting into trouble.
  17. “Riggers” used to be almost de-rigueur for blokes on building sites, what’s the reasoning behind the drift away from them mate?
  18. No mate, east is heading back to the UK and that’s not in the cards for a while, here my lady has just got the boot warmer out of storage, she means business, lol.
  19. Tims have a whole section of workwear and boots in the hardware and construction stores,I actually thought the dealer style look decent.

Trump has threatened the Beeb with a billion dollar law suite, the BBC chairman has apologised saying the edited footage was an error of judgement and two beeb bosses have resigned LOL
  21. Just got a virtually new full rig from a guy who used it once, bag, bow, quivers, arrows, sight for the equivalent of £55
  22. Winter is back, not a flake of snow on the ground this afternoon, just been to WalMart and the lake.
  23. Just been pulled back and let-down the bow a few times in the house (heavy snow outside),feels smooth, there’s a D-loop,peep and a 4 pin Trophy Ridge set up already on,the bag alone cost $130,bit of a bargain for £55 notes all in,and he is sorting me out an unopened pack of expandables.
  24. Bit of a result this evening,my Lady went to see an old mate she hasn't seen in a while. She phoned me,her mates husband had bought a bow last year, used it once, wasn't really into it and it had been in the cupboard ever since, did I want it for a hundred bucks CAD (equivalent of around £55),I said yup (but wasn't expecting much to be honest). Bargain, brand spanking new, release, arrows and two quivers, about $650 worth of stuff or just over for a hundred, and he has a packed of broadheads he will rake out for me.
