adbirdy 14
Hello All, I'm sure I've seen this on here before but I can't b****y find it now. Now that the warmer weather is here, (hopefully for a while) even though I change my ferts water every day, I am having a problem with the bottle turning a bit green, does anyone have any good tips in getting the bottle clean and keeping it clean. Thanks in advance Ade Quote Link to post

ferreter.al 22
alrite mate, when im refilling the bottles i stick my little finger in the top of the bottle and like hook it round and turn the bottle so it like cleans all the green crap off the top of the bottle but....i do have small girl like hands so that may not work for you.atb Quote Link to post
ferret15 0
baby's bottle brush. you can delay them turning green by covering them as it is the sun that makes the algae grow you can buy jackets for them but a sock works just as well, only disadvantage is you cant see at a glance if there water is empty i personally give clean fresh water twice a day as tap water will turn after 8 hours (ever taken a swig out of a bottle of water thats sat in the sun all day ) so they never run out anyway. andy s410c 62
You could give these a go,got them off Ebay £3'ish each...thermo bottle covers, had no probs this winter & they keep the water cooler in the summer. The green cover i bought from pets at home...no price on it when i got to the till,£10 but it's good quality... Quote Link to post
