comanche 3,283
Lady flagged me down outside the local shop having seen the sign on the van, and asked",If I did foxes." Turned out she were from "t' Big House ",(a 15th century affair only about 300 yards from me) and had two really manky foxes visiting her large garden. I followed her ,stopping only to pick up a cage-trap from my house. Didn't need it . The obligatory site survey kicked up the fact that both foxes were laid -up in two separate log-sheds .Quick bit of gap blocking and a trip home for the .410 sorted the situation .I wish all jobs were so convenient ..and successful! Poor old foxes though, riddled with terminal mange . They actually had maggots feeding on the weeping sores. Hope no-one was having tea.

Guest JohnGalway
You did the poor animals a kindness Even though I'm a sheep farmer, and I'm extremely unpopular when ever I mention this to them, I always do my level best to cull mangy foxes. Rotten way for them to have to go.

neil cooney 10,416
A job well done Comanche. Never a nice thing to see and I've seen terriers and lurcher act very differently when encountering a mangy fox. It's like the dog knows it's contagious. Those that do tangle with them pay the price. You do know Comanche you should have brought them to the vet LOL. No harm to send them pictures in to the CMW or Shooting times etc. etc. LOL might be good for buisness if anything.
