white van man 3,597
What’s the documentary called Arry? We were working in the sea at Torquay last week. One of the other guides was really ill the day after. Water wasn’t looking the best but it had no smell to it. Had a group out last year and it smelled so bad I had to cancel and refund. SWW need to sort their sh*t out.

In the first program they covered a 8 year old girl that caught the worst strain of E.coli at Dawlish Warren and after a harrowing 12 day she died. Its called "Dirty Business" All based on fact and its shocking, make my blood boil. I looked on Surfers Against Sewage site and South West Water Site last week and nearly every river and beach in Devon and Cornwall was polluted. Exmouth just the other side of the rive reported I think it was 190 odd people sick last year. That Surfer against Sewage site is worth a look. Cheers Arry

jukel123 10,260
The most far right policy this country has ever pursued was to privatise water. England and Wales are the only fully privatised water systems in the world. The seas and rivers are treated like rubbish dumps. Pull up a net and you will often find condoms, sanitary towels, wet wipes and waste plastic etc. And that's what you can see. There's also a toxic witches' brew of radioactive and chemical pollution. The seas, like trees and soil are the lifeblood of the planet. The planet can't function without them. These eco vandals in suits should be in jail. It's a crime against general humanity to damage the planet the way they do. However, "laws are like cobwebs, which may catch small flies but let wasps and hornets straight through". ( Swift) Nobody sensible thinks it sensible for profit led private companies to supply water. For that matter, nobody thinks it acceptable to sell off care of the elderly to profit_ driven granny farmers. Except those who make obscene profit from these policies. Both policies would have been too societally damaging and too whacko far right for even Hitler or Genghis Khan to consider. Edited February 25 by jukel123

I agree with all of that, but you massively detracted from a really decent observation by keep saying “far right”, how the f**k is it anything to do with that meaningless nonsense of a phrase ?…….. Its symptomatic of the country we have become is what it is, namely, Britain for sale, any offer accepted ! It’s stupidity at best and treacherous at worst but what it isn’t is “far right” !
