They rate their constitution and Trump absolutely doesn't. Armys loyalty is to the Constitution not political leaders, now that's not to say they won't go against that but usually that's the case.

Absolutely, the old order is gone...Trump has nailed the final nail into the empire and now we'll just have to ride out the next couple of decades or chaos n war.....and when it's all over I for one will welcome our Chinese overlord

I have just penned a letter to the MOD asking for the call up age to be in raised  to 76. That way I can go. I can aim  a rifle, jog a mile or so and have experience skippering sea faring craft. I did make a suggestion though.... that each recruit of a certain age be issued with a piss bottle because we more mature fellows tend to suffer rather a lot  from Private Godfrey's affliction.

In the fifties teachers used to bang your head against your desk in order to underline a particular piece of wisdom they wished to impart.

'When a noun ends in a 'y.' The plural is always 'ies' was one I always remember.

I learned  very quickly. In the same way that livestock learn to avoid electric fences.

(And yes I know dyslexia and ADHD do exist.

I wouldn’t know, I attended school VERY randomly, got expelled at 14, wheeled barrows of dirt and dug foundations by hand, got some money, went and bought some stock at the wholesaler and went to work selling stuff door to door……that was the days before we were all fragile…..the days before minimum wage and all those scams

By the way, this may interest you, back then my £1 bought me a hundred penny sweets……today, the same £1 buys me 25 !!
