Have heard he backed away from white deaths gr gr  grand sire

Pulled up injured on that race didnt he had to be carried off the track, just watching that clip on YouTube called from last to first of some of his races , unbelievable the way he would fly past all the other dogs towards the end

No bud I wouldn’t really I’ve never really been into hares but used to have few days out with a few traveller friends in Northamptonshire they had mainly Salukis but the fair share of them ended up thumped. I’ve kept a few Wheaton and bull lurchers in my time and I’ve probably thumped more than I’ve had good ones but I’ve seen whippet x grey dogs kill foxes for sport. Ok there are books out there that will tell you a certain cross will do certain things but anyone who’s popped there head outside the gate and been around and done abit with different people over number of years any cross can be as good as another when the breed clicks and they are brought on right

Decent post, however I’d say what you are doing, when you choose a certain type that you prefer and that may suit what you do, is hedging your bets rather than relying on the happy accident.

Yes of course there are happy accidents out there but there are more that are outgunned.
A good biggun beats a good littleun isn’t a bad rule of thumb imho
