That's why you have a woman. If the house isn't tidy then the woman needs telling. It's mad that some women are like this. Specially the younger generation. Back in day. Mother's past the cleaning skills down to daughter's. Many grandmother's and mothers would clean the steps and front door. You don't see that much now.

And most men sat in the boozers like no marks ignoring their kids and wondering where it all went wrong 

I wouldn’t expect my misses to change the filters on the car , so why would something as piffling as running a hoover about put me out when it’s completely buckshee to do ?

In my village it's still like that. That's why it's great not much change here. Lads finish work straight into boozer for a few jars then back home. Hard days graft few jars home to woman. Nothing wrong with that. These that live in the clouds accepting change. In my village there's 10 boozers. A small village. That's good going.

I don’t think that’s changed at all, I think uptogether blokes have always been able to look after themselves and by default those around them in the home.

Agreed that the “traditional” role isn’t so rigid anymore but personally if I hear a bloke saying stuff like “It’s not my place to cook” or similar shit like that I always think he sounds like a bit of a tosser…..
