Dutch 288
That’s my neck of the woods mate. Slough’s a shit hole but you can get the shuttle to Windsor in a few minutes which is decent. The surrounding areas are nice - Marlow, Cookham, Beaconsfield etc As some of the others have mentioned, there’s loads of fishing along the M4 corridor
mackem 30,789
Slough is depressing,I spent an hour there earlier, avoid like the plague,I can reccomend a few places around it to ear,and a 50 pound carp came out of the Thames at Windsor a few years ago.

Leo Sayer 3,913
I lived down south in a caravan at 17, then I later moved to slough in another caravan next to a tip for a while. I remember it being a sh1thole back then. There was a traveller site near by and cos I had a lurcher and hawks and hawks and ferrets I got friendly with a traveller lad similar age, we used go ferreting together. Was a sh1thole but I have some good memories from my stint darn sarf.

When my old man fished it there was postman's peg as he could beat most to it, also bed peg and people might hook a bedspring and think they had a fish, remember going there maybe 5/6yr old and throwing stones and alike as some guy landed a big pike , my poor old man trying for an hour's fishing whilst looking after us lol. He fished a match there and watched one of the best in country turn up to throw a bait bowl of orange sized ground bait balls into his swim sit and read a paper for an hour and then go on to win the match on bream, was definitely my dad's realm. Kings tackle in Maidenhead was the place to go . Windsor was his haunt for social , used to go in the donkey house pub on Thames , pop in Diana dors's place and finish in the casino . He had a good life there.
