If you think a lad in his 20's these days can go out and buy a house with no credit then you are living in cuckoo land, but then again that's no real surprise. No but what they can do is what most people I reckon here did. Buy a small place to start off and fix it up then move to a bigger place use the value to their advantage rather than wanting a dream home straight off the bat and being hoodwinked into crippling debt by fancy pictures and salesmen

Arry 24,876
Think I would encourage any young man/woman or couple to try and make a life in New Zealand. I know a young man well he was young when he moved out there he must be close to fifty now, still young in my eyes. He was a tree surgeon (wood butcher) but he has done well. Saw him a while back when he was over here, was telling me how good the fishing and hunting was and life in general, Rivers are clean good climate. Europe and the West is f****d imo. Migrants, wars law and order starting to break down, the government out to take what you have earned away from you. All ways thought New Zealand is the farthest away from all that shit. So yeah if you would be excepted ie: qualifications etc then I would encourage young people to go. Cheers Arry

If that’s the reality you’ve come to live in that’s fine. There’s people breaking the mould every day and doing things different and better. You’ve made your choice and good for you

If you think a lad in his 20's these days can go out and buy a house with no credit then you are living in cuckoo land, but then again that's no real surprise. Funny having this yap with my lad earlier.. He's 20 in a couple of weeks, worked for me for just over a year full time, worked in the Co-op whilst he was at college and bits for me in summer holidays etc...he has saved bloody hard, he is into his finances and has money in stocks and shares etc (most of his yap goes over my head lol)... anyway, through all his own work he's got enough for a deposit on a 2 bed house.. we take no rent off him for living home, and he gets hos grub etc...because imo him saving is what it's about, I'll help as much as possible, but they've got to help themselves first. He is on very normal wages, but will go and house sit and look after the animals for a few people now, gets £40 a night doing that abd that is his spends money... my eldest girl on the other hand is 26 and only just starting to sort her finances out, she's great and a grafter but will spend on shit..she's got my lad to go through her accounts and he's sorted out loads of her un-needed out goings... her chap is a mortgage advisor, they are looking at houses now...I told her 8 years ago save your money and I'll match it when you come to buy...it was to make her save but didn't work ..no way would I do that with my lad, he'd bankrupt me lol 4

The shame is, nobody learns things until they are older, some learn quicker than others….im not one of those ! lol I always have great admiration for these young switched on types who are smart from a young age and think bigger than lads like me did at a similar age. If I was a young man again and had the smarts to predict the future I’d have bought myself a place abroad years ago and just commuted or used the internet better or some such thing……I’d have been caked ! As it was, I was flat out and just did what eveeyine does…..would I do the same ?, the work yes but the house I would have rented out and I’d have a little chocolate box place and all the bells and whistles in Europe. You would live like a king.
