I did, she’s coming up 13 now, she’s provided me with some cracking days out, half bred Hancock, Arthur was her sire

She was a tidy enough wee bitch, ferreted had a good nose on her and took her fair share of feather  also wasn't shy at taking roe. Got caught up at a fence retrieving a hare by some young Aberdeen An

I've a first cross border collie greyhound, over a long time with various collie crosses he is the only Hancock I've owned. He's significantly bigger than the rest i've had which were all border cross

I think a lot of it's down to the man /woman holding the leash ,you got to put time into a dog to get best out of it ,I've seen lads get a pup and it's moved on before it's 9 months old because it's not doing what he wants ,but he's never going to get best out dog if it sits in a kennel all day and gets out at the weekend and run on stuff it's just not ready for or fit enough to take, how many Hancock pups out of a litter went to decent dog men , women? He'd sell to anyone because that was his business .

I think you'd have more chance with a pup off a hunter with generations of decent workers but there is no guarantee with any pup even though I've seen breeders offering it. Only know what I've read on here about Hancock dogs and most of the guys seem happy with them.

The black one I got off Hancock years ago absolutely rapid and unbelievable strike made everything he ran look pretty easy tbh I put him to a saluki cross bitch and that’s his son next to him ,both dogs done me well and I’d have em back in a heartbeat the grandson I’ve got now on the other hand is f***ing useless lol

I had a 3/4 grey 1/8 beardie 1/8 border an it was same, was like shite off a shovel, run like a pure grey, awsome strike on it aswell an even had a couple mins in tank on hares haha but by fcuk of you worked that dog anymore than 2/3 times a week it was a bag of bones no matter how much or how good a food it got, rehomed it in end as a pet to lad on here’s sister. Was jist too busy at time, I’d have one like it now tho sk be happy with gettin out couple times a week haha
