First read 'of pedigree unknown,' nearly 50 years ago, a paperback edition.

An old mate of mine  who's about 18 months older than me, got it as a Christmas present.

Think it was 1977.

Really enjoyed it.

Borrowed it off him so many times, he gave it to me lol.

I've read a few of them, years ago.

Looked online yesterday, and didn't realise he'd written so many!!

Forgot to say, it's been that long since I read them, only 'of pedigree unknown' was the one I remembered.

Of Pedigree Unknown and A Weasle in my Meatsafe are/were the 'go too' Drabble books imo.

Rebecca the Lurcher by Andrew Simpson is also an enjoyable, nostalgic read.

I borrowed Rebecca from the library many years ago but do not own it. The fact that I do not own the book would suggest that none of the lads from my estate stole it from the library.

I believe the lurcher in this postcard is Rebecca. Found it in an art gallery in Bradford and bought on the quiet during a day spent trying to impress a girl who was a LACS supporting art student. Happy days.

Ted walsh was another good author same era as drabble, lurchers and longdogs was good reading, still got the old original copy dating back to the  70s, priice 5 pounds 25 pence tideline books.
