Anyone ever tried abit of hound in there lurchers or even a hound or 2 along with there lurchers

A lot of boys using hound x to great Success and they are very very good dogs , Iv seen some crackers , only problem if you do drop the hound blood in you become very limited what you can do with it , my bitch there goes lamping now and then and doesn’t hunt up also going out with bushers and knows to keep a eye on the little dogs

Looking at that dog to me is like when you look at a bird and think she’s alright but nothing special … but you know deep down there’s summit about it and  it’s gonna give you the ride of your life …

There used to be a man from Wales with collie crosses Andrew something he brought a couple of videos out 20 odd years ago I used to like watching them..

There was also a couple of alsation mongrelised lurchers about when I was younger not quick but good moor dogs finding and taking plenty of foxes..

Very good if you can do both I must say apart from the odd one i always had the outlook of it's either one or the other as I often used to enjoy a mooch on the hills even tho Iv never had one specifically bred for it iv always liked it n what you do..

My old bitch passed away before Xmas and she was a very good lamper to be fair and she was decent at ferreting aswell , but soon as that tracker went on and we was on the hills she knew the crack

These two do alright. Mainly used for lamping and bushing but took to the hill work fine. They’ve had some decent dogs to run with so soon pick it up. I’ll have a pure hill dog at some point but I still like to lamp so at the minute these suite me. White dog is saluki collie grey and is 12 now. Still putting in the miles. Bitch is 7. Same sort of breeding but with a bit of bull. Think they both would have made decent hill dogs if I could get up there more often.
