Try flying SABENA or Air Uganda...............they were real nicker gripers

SABENA unfortunatley works out as "such a bloody experience never again".............one of the best airlines i flew on was Air Ethiopia........their planes were old but superbly maintained ....i think when PanAm folded ..alot of engineers went to work for them ..taking their skills with them

Just tell them we are pausing issuing visas and aid until they agree to take the rapists back.  In the meantime the cost of keeping the rapists in jail will come from the aid we would have sent to P

When Saudi Arabia decided to have a national airline, they turned to America and TWA was given the contract to develop and run the airline.

It was manned almost exclusively by American personnel, coincidentally, the Saudi Airforce was run mainly by Lockheed with British and American instructors.

When Saudi Arabian Airlines decided to have a Major Base in Jeddah, they turned to mainly British Engineers, the majority coming from Rolls Royce in Derby and British Airways in Cardiff, and people like myself who were already employed in the Middle East aircraft businesses.

It took over 70 years before the workforce was “Saudi-ized “ but there’s still a core of western engineers.

Most, if not all , third world countries airlines have depended mainly on western expertise, but in the last few years the Chinese have been making inroads.

Cheers.

2023-24 UK gave Pakistan £41.55 million in foreign aid 24-25 it’s gone up to £133 million, squeeze them financially.

In the meantime the cost of keeping the rapists in jail will come from the aid we would have sent to Pakistan.

Sounds simple to me !

One of my best mates is in Saud, working on the military side (fairy) if I remember correcly.

I did some work for BAE years ago in Warton and Frekleton on the houses they had for visiting Sauds in regards to the Eurofighter (Typhoon). One of the lads made a joke that they taught them how to take off but not land the fuuckers

I worked on the military side as a contractor for Lockheed at the Air Defence Centre in Riyadh as a Specialist instructor to the Royal Saudi Air Force, and on the civilian side directly for Saudia Airlines at Jeddah

Back in the 70’s I had the choice of a lot of jobs; working on a British Antarctic Survey ship, working on the oil rigs for Santa Fe UK, etc; but none could get near the salary and conditions the Saudis were offering.

The only job I was offered that came near to the Saudis was when I was offered a job as Engineer at the Power station on Grand Bahama, but I was committed to going to Saudi .

The choices in life can have strange outcomes, but I’m generally happy with the choices I’ve made !

Cheers.
