I grew up not far away and car theft was the entry level/apprenticeship. I always found the Ghia interia thing quite poetic justice. Steal a posh Ford, strip the interior, sell it to a lad who could not afford the top spec but was posh (had a job and legally owned a car), wait until he pays someone to install it, then steal it back and sell again. The gift that kept on giving.

Then ram raiding happened. Hard to imagine now, you could drive a Transit and Land Rover into a shopping mall and straight through Curries window. Zero mechanical protection to stop it happening.  Not me, I was never brave enough or stupid enough, but good craic 🙂

some of the nights i’d be sick as a young un and wanting to be driving about  enjoying it older lads wanted to be round the corner wheels off stereo out etc lol always seemed a waste of a good car to me

Myself and cousin used to  rip about on my TY 80 on the local farm.,I was probably 12/13 yr old..same as you....looking for a chase😁 one time the farmer was stood in the middle of the path, Infront of the hole we cut in his wire fencing🙈 I rode the bike straight at him...as I went past, he let a barrel off 😬...my cousin Carl took the brunt of it and almost pulled me off the bike with him🤣I never seen the cnut move so fast...got up off the floor holding his arse ran  past me on the trials bike🤣 got to my Nan's place and he had to lay there while my Nana, mother auntie picked the rock salt out of his legs, arsecheeks and back with tweezers lol...then sprayed him in iodine 😁 then too top it off  both of us had  the leather belt for upsetting Farmer Green half🤣👍

ty eighty lol plenty about as a kid i’d grab one keep if i come across a good un now

You need something a bit more capable than a coursing bred mate, are you trying to attract a robbery? Lol

Huge dogs, my old girl used to have one.

I only seen it twice, but she told me it was 30" tall and about 15 stone.

Maybe @Daniel cain can corroborate the fact, as he knew who my mother was, she's dead now, and he lives near to where she was and might've seen it.

This one was certainly a very large dog, Gooey.

I think it died before the age of 8 or 9, probably more than 13 or 14 years ago.

The English mastiff is the biggest/heaviest of all the mastiff types make 30" plus, they have st Bernard in their make up,they sometimes throw the thick coats, the bull mastiff is shorter, thicker set, more rottie shaped...the corso are crossed with the great Danes, lanky dogs, they crop the ears and tails on the ones I've seen in the past...when they x the English and Neo's you get the monsters, gentle giant's 👍
