WILF 49,846
I have to be completely honest and say my absolute first thought wasn’t “is it an Islamic terrorist” or anything like that….no…..my first thought was “Oh f***ing hell, we will never hear the last of this” It’s tragic for people affected and their family’s and I sincerely wish them the very best but Liverpool has this cringeworthy habit of being grief junky’s as a collective….. Im sure it could be viewed as “community spirit” and they may very well have a good case to say that……but f***ing hell, they don’t half make a meal of tragedy that other places don’t seem to. Most other places just wipe their mouth and move on in the traditional British way, but not these mob, we can look forward to 30 years of banners and YNWA and calls for an enquiry and “justice for the parade 2” and all sorts of other f***ing nonsense. Theres a lad in my old town in south Essex, no connection to Liverpool at all but a “Liverpool supporter” of course and he is all “remember the 97” or whatever it is every year…..c**t was 300 miles away when it happened and half the people doing it in the city wasn’t even born ! If London did “a thing” for every tragedy and disaster and attack that ever happened there the gaff wouldn’t have enough days in the year to cover them all !……
TRUEBRIT66 2,084
I see the victim thing more of a insular two fingers up we look after our own first mentality. I like the fact the people of Liverpool still have that proud of their background and history mentality, its a shame places like Bristol weren't the same. From a football perspective I've never understood the I "support" a team 300 miles away, It used to pain me to walk around Bristol and see so many youngsters wearing Liverpool and Man Utd tops to the point I would rather see them in a Bristol Rovers top which considering they make me sick to look at is saying something. On the attack thankfully nobody was killed but I did actually say to my lad if this is another extremist attack hitting this particular target was a bad idea, "football lads" aren't known for their compassion. On the video Kanny posted comedy is objective, I found some of that video funny, some near to the knuckle and some not funny at all. What I do feel is Andrew Lawrence should be able to joke about what he wants, if you dont like it just turn it off. Anything other than that and we are on the slippery road to complete control and censorship.

The Cornish can be a bit like that mind. First and only time I ever got called a northerner was in a little pub in a place called Par, considering I speak like a wurzel it was hilarious even got a bit nasty at one stage.

At least Cornwall have some history to back up that claim, Liverpool has always been part of the Kingdom of England….it was an English king that founded the city. Cornwall was gradually annexed and brought into the kingdom of England by degrees.

The guy taking the tour was talking to us after and he said what he had heard was that their was someone having a heart attack somewhere so they removed part of a barrier to get ambulance through and the car nipped in behind the ambulance to get into the street. No idea how much truth in it Cracking ground that is ive been to a few Feyenoord games i remember getting the water taxi to the ground from central Rotterdam and it broke down half way we had to be towed in....got to the ground at half time and they refunded the full price of the tickets which i thought was jolly decent.....wouldnt mind doing the ground tour one day. The tour guide was a older gentleman who was very pro the ultras . He took us to their own personal pub underneath the away end complete with bar & dj booth . He said before games it's mental in there with happy hard-core music blasting up into the away end
