Only heard good things about that dog...

Bosun . I can trace his linage back 60 years . Real workhorses.  Frank crow added the coursing blood in the 80s and I added romeo 12 year back . Al be deed by the time  full coursing blood is required

Love that a line can be traced back so far, and almost always it's because of a dedicated few that tested them to the max.

All lines of working dogs will bite the dust if the animals aren't good enough, lurchers or terriers.

I'm sure there was a thread about Floyd on here a few years back.

Was Romeo of the same blood that Frank added, and if not, what made him your choice?

Thanks

No frank brought a bitch up from Blackpool ( sally) he put her to murdo . Murdo was out of rhona ( joe mckenna) x Blacky ( john irvine) . Rhona was bought off terrier men and only made an average hare dog having been introduced at 5 . Blacky was out of old blacky who was out of even older blacky . Mostly hare roe and fallow . Rhona certainly threw pups . Such a hard bitch that made foxes etc look real easy . Edited to say I added romeo for a fast stayer . Get a little more thinking than plain wanting them dead killers wrecking themselves.  And of course his breeding is phenomenal.  Romeo himself,  I've seen and owned better . But his attributes were what I was looking for . To answer your question.  Now I'm just an old rat catcher lol
