Leo Sayer 3,592
Anyone ever done one , what did you get out of it and what’s the benefits ? One of our customers come in this morning and tellsl me he hed just run 10k and had an ice bath and then goes to work, said he feels great all day off it. I started to read the wym hoff book a while ago but ventured off reading another book and never got past the first chapter. Just wondering what the crack is with them .
oxo 525
Not ice baths but cold showers, seems to give you a bit of a buzz, wake's you up for sure. Obviously the shower is colder in the winter so it's not a set temperature thing.

Funny fella that wym Hoff....Borr on here does ABIT of wild swimming etc...I see loads on face ache and instabum, singing about the benefits of it,along with the bare foot walking(grounding),just had a toolbox talk on site this week, about mens health charities offering ice baths, wild swimming etc...big thing on the sites these days.... problem is,every cnuts suicidal because of the over the top health and safety nonsense, they expect you to adhere too lol...the old, let's create a problem...then offer them a solution at a cost Everyone's different, what works for one,may not for someone else..I used to find, that when I was out regularly paddling my play boats, mountain biking/moto x and working my dogs,I was at my happiest...don't do it for me anymore tbh...lost my mojo... same with fishing...rather watch my kids catching, than taking part myself

Pardus 1,546
Never done an ice bath but done a cold shower in the evening, it left me feeling the most relaxed I've ever felt in my life, they're meant to be great for sleep.
Aled 552
Done a cold plunge pool, and it does feel good after coming out. It could have its benefits, if we have swollen knees or heavy bruising we use ice packs to reduce swelling.

mel b 3,357
When I'm staying at my woodland for a few days , I jump in the stream after I've been grafting all day . The water is straight off the top of the mountain , so is only just above freezing , even in the summer . It feels great when I get out , and the pain stops. I get an instant headache when my balls hit the ice cold water.

Igz 1,603
Great for recovery when your body's been working hard but imagine it also has other benefits . They do make you feel good. I'm a plunge pool person after a sauna now and again but my son's a footballer and Ice baths do him world of good. they do him the world of good. They also a say a couple of saunas a week help with prevention of Alzheimer's. Apparently but just what I've read somewhere
