I pulled out 20k a while back it took them a week to have it in branch and I was asked if I was in a relationship scam  or if people were waiting outside for me when they handed it over lol

I needed 9 an had a similar ordeal haha was only when I threatened to transfer all my account to Monzo online they gave in haha was a joke I made a complaint but I fear I wasted me time haha so now I let it build just enough to think that taking it out makes them uneasy an lift the Fcuking lot mate, fcuk them haha

They are a joke, they can ask as many questions as they like and you can give the most ridiculous answers and the law says they still have to give you it. I renewed my mortgage last year and had 20k in cash to pay off it, obviously couldn’t pay it in cash so had to put it in the joint account and do a transfer, they allowed me to pay it in then the questions about where it came from started, told them it’s none of their business and to release it to the mortgage company which they said they couldn’t until they knew where it was from in case of money laundering, so I said “ just give me it back then “ they said they couldn’t until I could prove where it was from, which I could but wasn’t willing too, anyway, in the end the missus got involved and it was transferred to the mortgage company within 15 minutes, no more questions asked ( the manager learned a valuable lesson from her, don’t try and be clever with someone when you have no idea what they do for a living)

Eh   ,20k, that's got to be drug money, I'm.that hard up being a pensioner, the bank pays me fer depositing 85 pence per.week out my meagre pension

They have to be careful so many scammers and what ever such a large of money I was asked my self once why you drawing that out for I told them straight towards house improvements

Back in 2002 I tried depositing over 40 large, they are asked questions then , made me stand thier with it in a park n shop plastic bag full. I asked if I can go to desk to hand it over, nope I had to grab it out in bits and push it under the glass ffs

I tried to pay cash for our woodland , but the solicitor and bank seemed to think that I was an international drug dealer , and wouldn't touch cash . 

The fact that the cash was all earned legally meant nothing , because I couldn't provide a paper trail .
