There not mules mate there pied siberian goldfinch. But I'm hoping to have some mules on. Just for feeders. Ended up with most cocks last time I bred them. But I'm wanting the hens for sitters. If a get any cocks a will let you know. I offered one of lads on here a cock goldfinch from last years breeding  But he's suited now. But offer was there needed space. You'll know who i mean he bought in that import saluki he was called Billy thought it was hardy. Nice fella though. Can sing too great voice. Just looked at that page some nice mules on there. Shame he's had to pack in though. Maybe ill health not something you want to share like. But many bird men end up with COPD. It's shit. Old fella near me has the lung disease. Told me im not stopping racing now not at my age eighty . Most weekend a see him drive down with oxygen bottle on his back. Say over 40 years racing. It's hard to stop a passion when you know you've not got that long at that age with that disease. No Mali's in me saying this but he's ready for nacker yard he's f****d. If you can get a chick when it's about a week old,just before it's eye's open and hand rear it. It's easy enough to do if you got the time and the means to keep a chick that old warm, if your out and about working it can be hard work,but do able as i have done it. Hand rearing parrot food for finches and budies etc and cat food for crows,jays etc..I hand reared a mule chick and even took it to the local bird club and let it fly about the room,a syringe full of food and it always flew to me,even when it was feeding itself and then it took a meal worm..The films on you tube of the arabs with the tame goldies are all hand reared and one day i dream of having a aviary of tame birds,,one day..lol..
