My mrs has had access to my accounts whenever she wants, I don’t worry about that and was a second signatory on one of our business accounts once but always had my money & her money personally. Another reason early was that I never thought it healthy for one person or the other to feel exploited which I always thought is a danger……again a weird quirk. After 30 years now it’s all blurred anyway but we still retain our own accounts and she does her bits and I do mine……I don’t think there’s a correct way to do it, whatever works for your situation is fine in my book.
