The thing is the Christian church and Christianity in general is not getting much support in my eyes...bit like the Jews...seems like every left wing nutter ..hamas sympathiser ...alphabet people ...are all wanting to have a pop at the faith...king Charles...having the backs of Muslims...Starmer literally hanging out the back of a Muslim....school banning Easter... It all gets on my tits...and all these things seem linked to me... I maybe atheist but I like the idea of faith...and I am a bit of a hypocrite cos my kids went to Christian primary school...and my wife is Catholic with some Irish blood running through her... What I am saying is I hope a big deal is made of his passing...cos to me it's a bigger story...than some men pretending to be women ... Clever thinking I'm catholic my kids are Christian there mum is Buddhism but neither wants to ban Easter or say what religion one must follow 2

I wasn’t going to intrude on the Popes passing with something as gauche’ as football shirts, but you’ve opened the door for me, so you’re to blame ! LOL ! I send lots of football kit to my grandson in Saudi , but my missus has just come back from there and brought me these; Al Ahli, my grandsons favourite Saudi team, almost identical to Newcastles away shirt; Al Ittihad, a family friend was Chairman and still has connections to the club; Both teams owned by PIF, so “sister clubs” to Newcastle. My sympathies to all catholics and anyone mourning the passing of the Pontif…..but I do like a meandering thread. Cheers.

eastcoast 4,504
The last time in Rome I attended the Pope's Address in St. Peter's Square. Cannot remember which Pope. Rang man and dad's landline and held my mobile up so that they could listen to him. Apparently tears were streaming down mam's cheeks. After that mam often told people that I had met the Pope . They got a signed congratulatory certificate on their 60th wedding anniversary. I'm not knocking it, quite envious of GOOD people with faith. R.I.P.
