Glad he went to you, you have him a good home all the rest died after a couple of years I think the one I had was pet homed through injury still killed a hare on 3 legs that day

Appreciate that mate :)

I’ve given him range freedom, good grub (mainly BARF) and plenty of nights outdoors (mountains/beach etc). There’s a place we go in Autumn, a refuge in the mountains (Google refugi rebost) I sleep inside, he sleeps outside and does what he wants all night. Always there in the morning for his brekkie mind

Yes,. .Anastasia produced a better class of Deerhound for the original job, and some, were even passable at organised hare coursing,.. (although it was never their proper vocation).. Back in the

Didn't one or two of them soldiers stay out 30 year or something....like one of mchull dogs reeling a hare in...lol

I was the judge and gave it “Champion Lurcher” , based solely on looks, condition, conformation and temperament. Its impossible to judge on working ability unless you have personally seen the dog

I’ve said yes mate. I’ll be looking for another runner soon (if I can, I’d like a pup out of Cabron) and I’m also thinking of getting a Teckel for bushing about. I’ve access to open land now and people are more runner friendly over Zaragoza and down to Madrid way. Catalans are funny fuuckers. They seem to rescue all the galgos in Spain yet they’re not fans of the sport. You should see them all leave the park when Dickhead and me show up. None of them can catch him and he likes to dodge trees etc at the last minute when they’re behind him. A few incidents have occurred because of his ability to turn on a penny

I always used to exercise the dogs down a disused lane behind the motor....I used to take cabron in the motor to get him used to travelling....f**k me he was bouncing round the van jumping all over me screaming cos he wanted to be out running with the others....so out he went....4 f***ing miles every night....little f****r didn't bat an eye...lol

How did you discourage your dog from being intersted in deer mc?  All sight hounds/ lurchers go apeshit   when they see that bouncing white arse of a deer. I'm amazed you could break a dogs instinct  to want to course deer.

The dog obviously must be a natural jacker on them. The only thing I've seen dogs leave bambi for is a stinky old black and white fellas many years ago. I've found a dog that does both will always go to brock if both are in the same field.

Easier to catch lol
