Agree with all that 100% mate, but you and I know it’s been that way for a long time….like, as long as I can remember.

You're a bit older than me and obviously a born and bred local lad so you probably remember when there was a few quality boys who stuck around….but for me it’s almost always been that, we always sold all the class stuff.
You are absolutely spot on that the “bang average” mentality has to change but realistically do we think it will ?……you just live with it don’t you mate.
I’ve said for a long time (and it wasn’t out of disloyalty or wanting to be something we ain’t) that we are two bob about everything…..the training ground from what I read and have seen is embarrassing at premier league level……it’s just who we are.

Is it right ?, no, not at any level…..excellence, and by excellence I mean being as good as you can possibly be at everything and looking like that’s what you want, should be standard.

But let’s face it, who the f**k is taking anything seriously when your owner is pulling up dressed like a miget version of a cross between Micheal Jackson and a Russian Dictator  and doing things like putting his son in charge of the women’s team because he can…..like, give the boy a job type stuff ! lol

it’s funny mate, but funny in that usual West Ham way of if you didn’t laugh you’d cry. lol

You know exactly what im going to say mate ....but im going to be the most boring b*****d in the world and say it anyway.........the whole point of the move and the reason you's all wanted the move was to get away from that mentality......you ask " did we realistically think it would change "........well if you didnt then why did you want it ?

If we was going to carry on being that cute little nearly mob/everyones second team .....then we could of stayed where we was......i was happy to be that its lads like you who wasnt....but now you/re just accepting it....you should be up in arms more than me !!

I guess it just mentally scarred chaps like me and we'll never let you's off

Local media got a fairly decent picture of the boy the other night, worth a share I thought

My nine year old grandson has just been accepted for a football academy in Saudi Arabia. His first competitive game his team won and he scored the winning goal and was “man of the match”; H

I have a Mini Cooper. People have said to me that it is woman's car... not bothered, class things to drive. People have said that it is a puff's car... not bothered, class things to drive. On the news

Thats the problem though mate it is serious....especially in a small squad like ours.....we're giving away millions in wages on players with no future at the club....Cresswell hasnt been a regular for 5 years odd,Nobles legs had gone 5 years before we stopped paying his wages,Antonio was already on his way out now we've got all sentimental over the fact he cant drive in a straight line....its all small club " local lads " mentality that a lad like Paqueta comes to the club as a brilliant talent, sees how easy it is to just " coast " and ends up an average player.......the club has to rid itself of these niceties and develop a ruthless edge off and on the pitch.

Very true Gnash, Everton have been exactly the same over the years. Hanging on to 'player sentimentality' when there's feck all in the trophy cabinet, that mentality has to go....

We've got more contracts up at the end of the season than any other Prem club, time to change the attitude as we change the stadium.

Sentiment plays little part in success...

I would be grateful if we could all have a minutes silence for our very own Gary Lineker after he was forced to resign from the BBC over an offensive Tweet.

For sale, Mini Cooper S, see Buy, Sell or Swap forum.

The first final for ages where I genuinely wanted both teams to lose!

Heard it was a dreadful spectacle. Said before Man U have always been my favourite English side, so obviously disappointed. A win though would have been very thin paper over huge cracks.
Fcuk Spurs, but actually delighted for Postecoglou that, even if he gets sacked, he can stick two fingers up at his detractors. I admire him for doing it his own way, for the bit of personality he brings to the EPL, and for not playing the game with the press. Listened last night to some no mark presenter say ‘he says things he shouldn’t’ in pressers. What a dick. Football management must be the most insecure and pressured jobs there are, and it’s made ten times more difficult being constantly sniped at by journalists and ex-pros (including women ffs) listing everything you’re getting wrong but who, from a managerial sense, couldn’t lace your boots.

Must admit i havent seen a lot of top level footie this year but watched that game last night and was quite shocked at how bad United were, just a really poor side with no real pattern to how they was playing, looked like they was putting the effort in but just clueless like they've never played together before....lacking ideas or strategy of any kind.

I imagine that final for both managers was a winner stays on kind of thing....Amorim will get the boot after Sunday surely.

Duncan Ferguson has a book out so doing the rounds on some of the podcast thingies.

Type of player who probably wouldn’t fit with the style of play in the EPL now but was effective back in the day. Lifestyle and discipline maybe held him back a wee bit, but still a hero with the blue half of Liverpool. Be a handy lad to have by your side if you got into a bit of barney, but you maybe wouldn’t want him in your quiz team.

He was/is a likeable psycho.

I enjoyed the tale about the burglar who broke into his house. Big Dunc thought all his birthdays had come at once and gave the ned a kicking he'll never forget. True karma.

Napoli , Italian champions . Two Scottish midfielders who could barely get a game at a top 6 premier league club at tve back end of their tenures are now icons .

Mctominay is the siere a player of the year .

what an indication of how strong the epl is , and also how awfully man united are ran . What a story

Man U were mad to let Mctominay go. And Gilmour is 23 but couldn’t break into the Chelsea team at 20? He’d do a job in the EPL.., both would easy. And before you write off Italian football and Scottish midfielders, Napoli just saw off Champions league finalists Inter to win Serie A. EPL champs Liverpool didn’t get past the last 16.

That wasn’t how it was meant to be interpreted at all mate . I m very pleased mate , such an achievement . Mctominay got a lot of stick about his role at united and has flung it all back in the faces of his critics . What a fantastic display  of resilience.
