Wheels of hay down south are double what they are up north too. Years ago was speaking to a chap about prices down south. Some things are unreal the prices. 35 40 quid a wheel. Down south 60 to eighty a wheel. Crazy.

We took 7 wagons loads down as a favour for farmers mate in Somerset last year an even after fuel an that he was still saving money haha

Totally agree, but my rather off the cuff attempt at a joke was in fact deadly serious…..now this is just my personal opinion and has been my firm belief for 23 years…. Some things you can’t buy…

My Mrs has ordered me to take the next 6 months off ...sort my head out lol, gonna retrain and get into something I enjoy doing for the first time in my 45 years on this planet... everything we have is

Coin toss ...not a chance for me...I've told this story before on here but illustrates my bad luck with such things...

Second to last Waterloo cup....I had ten bets in a row...and lost every one.....I mean come on there's only two dogs running...law of averages...you would think you would win the odd one

Either the hunting fraternity are an extremely level headed sensible bunch of people or folk in general lack ambition or the desire to take a risk anymore......heres a scenario.....just out of curiosity, how many of you chaps would put that on a 100k coin toss ?.....in terms of " investment " theres nothing in the world that could double your money quicker, but theres a 50/50 chance you'll end up with nothing......1 spin of a coin heads or tails ?

If someone gave me 100k and the option I would go for it, I never had it in the 1st place.

If I grafted for years to save it no chance.

Give over man, no way you would, 100k is a life changing amount for most people.

If 100k is life changing what about 200k haha like I said if I had it spare I’d gamble it, if it was gonna in anyway effect my kids then I’d not do it

You can talk a good game on here, anyone can. If you'd never seen anything close to that amount in your life you'd be banking it.

Ok, so if someone said you can have 100k tomorrow in your bank and by the end of the day you have to decide if you want to keep it or gamble on double or bust?

I’d have a go mate, I’m much better off the past decade after taking a few chances an it was money o never had in first place it’s a no brainer to me, but if I was depending on that money then no I wouldn’t

You ever watched the game shows or listened to the radio with the "you win xxxx, do you want to gamble and double it" prizes, a good percentage go for it.

Anyway I repeat you are right, I wouldn't well done 👍

Thanks for agreeing, I knew you'd come around to my way of thinking.

For some folk gambling is just as much of a legit form of investment as anything else......admittedly i was once described in court by my ex wife as somebody who would " bet on 2 rain drops running down a window "  but some bets ive had over the years do involve more than just luck......years ago during some of my more chaotic times of life i had a bloke owed me a decent chunk of money ( 6 figures ) he was willing to pay it no problem but we got into a debate/argument about something and i told him i knew exactly how his mind worked and that i could outwit him in any situation bla bla bla.

I offered him a double or nothing bet for the money he already owed me on a best of 19 game of Rock,Paper,Scissors !......i won 10 - 2......he paid up no problem but has never bet with me since that was 20 odd years ago to this day he thinks ive got some sort of mind reading powers

Never been a big gambler but I'd bet my left bollock Pardus/Greeb (whatever his fooking user name is) wont resist responding to this.
