I just bought 25 litres of that stinky creosote, thought id be clever and filled up a weed killer pump spray , it was going on  my fence  rapid until a powerful cross wind flew threw, fuk me I looked

I love the smell of the stuff.....same as Poxon,we used to mix it with used engine oil for everything timber down the allotments.... shit lasts for time, modern tanalised timber is shite in comparison

Made a start on the back fence. The smell of nostalgia 😂

There's a reason why they spray cars and don't paint them with a brush mate 👍

Totally different, kingy.

You can 'work' creosote into the wood better with a brush, and are less likely to miss awkward cracks/crevices etc.

I would agree with you. Got one of those cordless battery operated spray gun as well as fence paint getting allover especially if your painting fence panels in-between concrete posts brush painting even though more time consuming is better imho.

I'm surprised they're dry enough to soak it up.

Was dry all morning so did 2 more panels, pissed down straight after though.

Didn't work. The cheap sprayer couldn't handle it. Plus the Mrs had her washing out....looks like washing day in Gaza now. I've binned the sprayer and fcked off fishing before she sees the mess
