This just popped up in my feed and thought I’d post it on here. The last of David Stirlings original SAS commandos from WW2 has died aged 103.

My uncle Dick (actually my dad's uncle) was in the long range desert group. His son later went on to fly helicopters for the SAS, he took his old dad to Stirling lines to meet all the lads there and they gave the old lad a grand tour and made a fuss of him. Later he fought at el Alamein and montecasino I think, although I might not be correct about that.
