I watch darts now and again, charts, but I don't enjoy it as much as I did in the late 70's, early 80's.

Leighton Rees, world champion, only lived 3.5 miles from me, and it seemed, at the time, everyone wanted to beat him, even in local pubs.  No chance!!

My missus was World ranked in women's darts back in the 80's.

She played mixed doubles with some of the worlds best;

 

 

 

Didn't the council name a road after Rees ?

My Mrs was quite good at darts , not as good as charts wife but played County level . If I remember correctly her uncle was a darts player called Tony Brown from Dover .

Played a few big names in the past  myself, Peter everson, Alan Warner, loads of the dutch  and Belgium  lads ,played  Phil Taylor  twice , lost twice, played on the same team as Dennis  Pleasley  in the super league  few years back, can't throw for toffee  na elbow  knackered  ,,, happy days though.

Used to play alot of darts in my teens with young farmers. Now skittles gives me an excuse for a few beers on a Monday night. Lol
