Id guess people who like marmalade will know it’s made with citrus fruit. A bit like calling milk, bovine milk or eggs, avian eggs. Seems like stating the obvious or is it to distinguish between the “real thing”and imitations , like that “ersatz” coffee they had during the war ? Or more likely, some EU bureaucrat sitting in an office in Brussels trying to justify their job. Cheers.

We aren’t members, but is it just another minute step towards joining the single market and ultimately rejoining the EU ? Americans call jam “jelly”, crisps “chips” and chips “fries”, and they speak English , (sort of ), maybe we should demand they fall in line with us ? Cheers.
