Settled in well sleeping through the night in there crate usual puppy squabbling over toys can take them out on light walk from wed next week but have a fully enclosed back garden using a clicker a few times a day, half  dozen times per session to help with recall getting there attention and coming to me  With treats just doing the basics and socialising with them they are certainly not shy that's for certain .

Bassett hounds ?

Certainly a type that we now class as Basset hounds. Probably fair to say that on the continent the need for an earth dog proper was never seen to be needed and small hound types carried out the role and it was those that gave us the dachshund/teckle types. The working terrier being developed in isolation within the British Isles. The Czech and jagd terrier a 20th century development of already existing British breeds. The jagd being the product of crazies who considered only something of pure germanic origin being worthy of existence. They rated the Fox Terrier as they considered the English to be a Germanic race but had to deem it degenerate due to years of isolation from the fatherland. Set a team of geneticists to work to resurrect the true breed. they had 700 dogs in kennels at one point and after many years managed to breed out the weak white colour for the correct black and tan colouration. they could have just imported lakelands 🙂
